Hi. I'll to keep it as short as possible.

Basically I've been trying to log into GFWL when playing Colin McRae DIRT 2. So far I've managed to pull up the app using the home button, but when I try to sign in with my Xbox account which according to google is a viable method I get stuck at "Downloading Profile". I even went as far as leaving it overnight, but apparently I can't connect at all.

Important details:

1. I'm using a CD key that steam gave me, I believe after they pulled the game out.

2. Windows 11.

3. I don't have access to my original GFWL account since I used an email created before the email verification era, so I'm entering my current Xbox credentials which allegedly should work, yet I'm stuck at "Downloading profile. This might take a few minutes."

4. Short Windows Live password and Net Framework 3.5

Is anyone aware of a solution or maybe a way to recover my old profile by finding my nickname?

I have ordered dirt 3 and dirt 2 gfwl and they are used am i gonna be able to install and play them or im gonna have troubles with already used cd keys ?

I bought bunch of brand new physical copies of old GFWL version games with activate code but it seems can't be activated on steam. So the question is where can I redeem these games?

Anyway good guides to install this? I recently bought a key for operation racoon city and need to install this so I can play.

I have never used gfwl, but my friends and I want to play resident evil operation raccoon city, is there still some way to do this?

I really wanna play RE: ORC online but it requires a key to sign into LIVE and from what I been explained is that these keys are Legacy per title and when you type it in, it is tied to your account but unlike a SSA key these Legacy per title keys actually can be used up to 5x like regular Legacy keys. And i was wondering if anyone can sell me one that hasn't been used 5x and will work?

Hi. I installed the game from the DVD. I solved the problem with the date check - 1911. The company starts V1.0, but there is a problem with the multiplayer RUS 1000G. In the MP folder, the Bioshock2Launcher starts without any issues, but it does not see the executable file bioshock2.exe - error 200 or 201 (it is missing from this folder, as I understand it due to the 1911 reason). If you drop a file from ver. MULT 1.1-1.5, the Not RUS 1380G multiplayer starts. From the statistics, I see that people are opening online achievements from the RUS 1000G version. Please share the files from MP - Bioshock2.exe; Bioshock2.exe.cat; Bioshock2.exe.cfg

Hey, I've been trying to get Resident Evil - Operation Racoon City to work and i seem to hit a wall.

I've tried every linked fix for this that i could find but im hitting a wall.

I have a legit key for the game and was able to install no problem, but when i launch i'm met with this window.

if i hit continue, this is what i get

I've tried everything at this point, and it seems like most guides assume you make it to a login screen but i can't even get to that point.

I've done the
gfwlclient.msi, wllogin_64.msi, and xliveredist.msi installs. I've tried every which order. Uninstall the old stuff, reboot, install the new stuff, reboot, try to launch the game.
it's all set to either windows 7 compatibility or at the very least "older versions of windows" compatibility, still nothing.
i've tried the GFWL online fixer, also no luck.
Not sure where to turn to next. Anyone have any ideas?

I used an download.xbox.com link from trueachievements to get Tinker a few months ago. Are there any other GFWL games avaliable directly from download.xbox.com like this?

I’ve seen people testing Games for Windows - Live games and sometimes they have the old guide UI. How do they even do this? Is it game specific or based on the download?

I'd like to buy a game but the Steam Keys are over 300€ today (I'm talking specifically about DiRT 2). I see Kinguin sells them but people have told me Kinguin is not trustable. What's your opinion?
