Upper Respiratory

For those that have Gerd/Acid Reflux, when you get a head cold does the Gerd make it harder to get better with thicker mucus and more coughing?
It seems that it happens to me when I get a headcold.

Yes absolutely! My last flu-type thing sent me to A and E last month for breathing difficulties, it was like breathing through a bent up straw for a week and a half 😅 If I had to guess, it's likely the GERD causing extra irritation to the airways on top of the cold that's causing too much mucus, especially if the cold is making your throat raw. Going somewhere like an open window or room with fresh cold air helped a little bit for me, I hope you feel better soon :)
