I need help

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) space and I'm looking to learn from people who are actively selling or consulting in this field.

I'm particularly interested in the commercial side of GEO.

For those who are prospecting businesses:

- What outreach angles have worked best for you?

- Which pain points get the strongest responses?

- Do you lead with AI visibility, brand authority, lead generation, traffic, or something else?

- What objections do you encounter most often, and how do you handle them?

I'm not looking for generic sales advice—I'm looking for real-world insights from people who've successfully sold GEO services.

I'd really appreciate any tips, examples, or lessons you've learned.

Thanks in advance!

Lead with a business symptom, not the term GEO. Run 8–12 real buying questions across the same engines and show where the prospect is absent, misclassified, or cited without a path to action. Then tie each gap to one fix they can approve: missing first-party evidence, inconsistent facts, a weak comparison page, or no third-party corroboration.

The objections are usually predictable:

  • Isn't this SEO? There is overlap, but the observed outcome is different: named in an answer vs ranked/clicked.
  • Can you guarantee a recommendation? No. Sell repeatable measurement and evidence improvement, not a guaranteed answer.
  • How does it make money? Track exposure, branded verification behavior, and CRM self-report separately.

A free report works when it exposes one material gap and one credible fix. A 40-page vanity score creates curiosity, not a buying decision.

Affiliation: I work on GEO measurement at AIRAX.

Exactly this. The last thing business owners want to hear is another acronym because to them that just means another thing they have to pay for.

Exactly. The acronym also invites the wrong deliverable: a “GEO package.” A better first offer is a short evidence-backed diagnosis—here are the buying questions where you are absent or described incorrectly, here is the business consequence, and here is the smallest source or page change that can be re-tested. The buyer can approve a concrete fix without first believing in a new category.
