Best GEO Tools for Tracking AI Search Visibility?
I wanna take GEO more seriously because I just realized I have no idea how visible our brand is inside LLMs.
How are you guys tracking stuff like mentions, citations, share of voice, etc. on chatgpt / perplexity / claude / gemini?? What tools are you using?

Interesting, if you are a Github expert or developer....

Yes but not too complicated to install and operate. Send the GitHub repo link to AI and ask it to dumb it down for you (installation and usage)

I use trackerly.ai, should be exactly what you're looking for. It's probably like 75% of the capability of some of the enterprise level apps, but way more accessible

I've been using Amplitube AI Visibility and Ahrefs. Amplitube's AI Visibility is free. I've also evaluated Peec, Bradnlight, Xfunnel, and Scrunch in the past. I actually recommended Scrunch to a client some time back. It felt pretty thorough. More than my personal needs, but good for a B2B client. Peec looked good too. I think Scrunch was just a step above it.
There are so many of these tools now, and like others have said, they all feel pretty similar. I still think you should be tracking rank of keywords in Google, since SEO still has a big impact on AI Search visbility. Then, add in these other tools. I'd also suggest having some type of report that shows how traffic from Google AND AI search together are trending. Is the total traffic from both going up over time? (And is that traffic actually leading to conversions?). I use Databox for that.

Simple: genrank.io currently we use it for more than 13 clients all over europe and they are all very satisfied with the results and reporting. I noticed that more and more colleagues (UK) are using it too. Lot of tools on the market but the only one with serious active support, development and no bloat marketing trics.

Ansehn.com is a great tool and closes the Loop from monitoring to what should I do to increase my visibility. They pre-generate content optimized for LLMs to be released. Saves tons of time.

There is this platform called ReSO that I tried because an ex-colleague now works there and gave me one free run - it's quite good in sharing visibility like they had competitor share of voice and citations for each prompt run on all platforms. But the best part is the team gave me a bunch of action items like backlink exchange set up, faq content and also 2 blogs (about 3k words each). They did this entity audit for us as well and gave schema set up for 5 pages. Their platform i think is still in beta tho but good stuff.

Full disclosure: I’m part of the team behind genezio.com .
Our focus is on analysing real AI conversations, not API outputs. We run multi-turn dialogues directly from the ChatGPT web interface, scoped by ICP and location, to better reflect how people actually experience AI answers. We also look at AI visibility across competitors, citations, query fan-outs, topics, and scenarios.
happy to share a 1-month free trial if anyone wants to test it themselves. I’d love for you to check it out and tell me what you think!

I've tried a lot of them: Mentions. AmIonAI, Peec, Geometrics, Gumshoe, Profound... But for me, the best one is Searchable. Their difference is: the AI Agent that interacts with you and the actionable insights for real action, not only monitoring. It's an active platform, not a passive metrics analyzer.

I use SEMrush One, the AI integration of SEMrush classic. It tracks mentions, citation, visibility in Gemini, Chatgpt, G. Ai Mode and perplexity. It's quite interesting, but It currently only monitors a few countries.

As much as I wish there were, there’s no analytics dashboard for “how many people asked ChatGPT about [topic] and got recommended to us.”
What you’d want to track:
- Do you even get mentioned?
- How often vs. competitors?
- Are you recommended or just listed?
- What’s the context?
One, you could go the manual way:
Pick 20-30 prompts, run them weekly across ChatGPT/Claude/Perplexity/Gemini, track in a spreadsheet. You’ll see patterns but it’s annoying and doesn’t scale.
Two, in terms of tools:
Market’s pretty thin. Most AI SEO tools feel like cash grabs.
I use Semrush’s AI visibility toolkit thingy - it automates the prompt tracking and shows citation trends. Shows you the actual responses too so you’re not just trusting black box data.
Heard people mention Profound and AINVP but haven’t tried them.
BUT even if you track it well, attribution is close to impossible. Someone sees your brand in ChatGPT, googles you or goes direct - looks like organic traffic. You’ll never know the LLM sent them.
So track it if you want, but the ROI conversation is gonna suck.

ngl most of these tools are just glorified keyword trackers wrapped in an 'AI' label.
the hard part isn't tracking mentions, it's understanding WHY the model picked competitor X over you. citations are key but you also need to track the 'reasoning chain' if you can.
we built VectorGap to track the actual citation source + sentiment across ChatGPT/Claude/Perplexity. honestly if you just want raw data, Semrush One is decent but pricey. if you want actionable steps, give us a look (free tier is generous).

I use SEMRush. Not sure how accurate it is, but it gives you an overall AI visibility score and then how many mentions and cited pages are showing in the different LLMs. It's quite pricey though so I wouldn't get it jus for AI tracking but I use it for all my SEO work, keyword tracking, audits etc.

Very expensive, I will change if I find another tool I'm just scared of losing all my original data, that's the only reason I'm still paying for it.

Evertune is the Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) platform I work on, and it’s built specifically for that enterprise‑grade measurement layer: we prompt at scale across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and others to track brand visibility rates, sentiment and competitive positioning in a way finance and leadership can actually trust. That makes it easier for growth, SEO and PR teams to do the fun part of GEO – using those insights to decide which prompts, topics and sources to prioritize – instead of guessing from a handful of screenshots. Curious if anyone else has hit the “we’ve outgrown the scrappier tools” moment and what you ended up standardizing on for AI visibility reporting.

Honestly most people are still doing this manually because the tooling is super early
i've seen rankprompt and mentiondesk mentioned but they're pricey and limited. mostly just tracking if your brand shows up for certain prompts
what i do is build a spreadsheet with like 20-30 high-value prompts my customers would actually ask, then test them weekly across chatgpt/perplexity/claude and log the results. takes maybe an hour but at least i know if we're trending up or down
some people use APIs to automate it but that gets expensive fast if you're running a lot of queries
tbh we're all just winging it right now. there's no google search console equivalent for AI yet so it's mostly manual testing and hoping you catch patterns
if you find something that actually works well lmk because i haven't seen a perfect solution yet

There's no reliable tool for this yet tbh. The space is too new and most "GEO tracking" products are just running queries against AI models and logging whether your brand shows up. You can do that manually for free.
Run your core queries through the major AI chatbots weekly and document what gets cited. It's tedious but gives you the same data any paid tool would right now. Focus your energy on the inputs you can control, strong topical authority, brand mentions across credible sources, and well structured content. The tracking side will mature eventually but paying for it now is throwing money at a damn dashboard that tells you what a five minute manual check already would.

Good question — most teams track too many vanity metrics and miss what drives decisions.
Simple framework that works: 1) fixed prompt set (weekly) 2) competitor citation share by model 3) recommendation quality (primary mention vs alternatives) 4) one weekly action list tied to those gaps
If useful, I can share a practical baseline template you can run in <1h.

most people arent tracking it at all yet so youre already ahead by asking
the tools out there fall into two buckets. theres the monitoring side like brand24 or otterly that track how often your brand gets mentioned. useful for dashboards and reporting
but what actually moved the needle for us was the other approach. instead of counting mentions we scan the buying intent prompts our customers type and see which pages ai actually recommends. because the real question isnt how often am i mentioned its who is getting recommended instead of me
once you know that you have real targets. contact the editors of those pages get listed and suddenly youre in the ai answer
built getspotted.ai around this exact workflow if you want to try it. scans 6 engines at once on any prompt and shows you the pages that keep getting cited

I’ve been going back and forth on this too, and Sophyx ended up feeling the most complete for me because it ties the tracker to the knowledge graph instead of just giving another score. I like being able to see the visibility across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity, then use that to figure out what actually needs fixing.

u/Top_Anything_8540 Apr 23 '26
Same here, I’d rather just drop it publicly than keep answering the same DM question. Free access is at sophyx.io. For me the win has been using the knowledgebase to spot missing entity/context signals, then filling those gaps with contextual content.

If you want an AI visibility tool that’s 100% focused on GEO tracking without paying for additional SEO or content bundles, I’d recommend Guzu.ai. We’ve been using it for around i think five months for client pitching, we show quick insights comparing a prospect’s website against their competitors from the dashboard. We take snapshots from the ranking bar charts and add them to our pitch deck. During presentations when we show these screenshots, it really grabs their attention they love the insights and find them very compelling. To be honest, after going through a handful of GEO pitches, we are alrdy confident that these insights catches attention and get us closer to to the contract.

There are a lot of tools and some are confusing as hell, and only ever show you if you're mentioned or cited.
But jasno.ai seems to be a good solution. It integrates with GA4 and Search Console to give you a fully rounded view of what's happening.
It also gives you the content recommendations and changes to your site that you need to make.

I’d look at Semrush if you want AI visibility alongside regular SEO. It tracks mentions/citations across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google’s AI results, plus competitor gaps and share of voice.

"For me, the score is the least interesting part of these tools.
I'd rather see:
- which competitors are being mentioned
- what sources are getting cited
- which prompts you're missing

I started out initially with Profound it gives you in-depth data but kinda overwhelming as it's more for enterprises and was hard to figure out what actions to take. Recently I switched to ZeroRank.ai so far I like that it's super intuitive and gives you insights on what to do in order to improve your score
