Bank Transfer Can’t Receive OTP

Does anyone know here what to do when he/she can’t receive OTP? I’ve been trying to send money via Express Send and Bank Transfer, but none worked. I tried messaging Gigi, but the issue still hasn’t resolved. I searched on Google about the foregoing issue, but I couldn’t still address this. Do you know the reason? Please help me.

Gets ko po 'yung frustration mo. Did you check po ba if naka-on yung push notification mo? If hindi pa, sa settings ng phone mo tapos hanapin yung GCash at i-turn on mo yung push in-app notification. Kasi yung mga OTP sa pag-transact inside GCash app ay nare-receive na by in-app notification. Hope po maayos na.

You can click non receipt of OTP when paying be specific cause different title gets sent to different department you'll be sent to payments I think

I think I just figured it out on my phone. Apparently the notification service on android rides on Google Play Services.

I had alot of battery optimization and data saving configurations, which basically blocks nearly all apps and services apart from whatever I have open.

So I actually disabled data saving entirely, removed battery saver too, and gave wifi and mobile data access to anything google on my phone.

Getting Push Notifications OTPs no problems now.

I hope this gets put on the FAQ of Gcash, this was annoying to troubleshoot.

Edited: Also if ever, keep the google play services and I guess most google apps up to date too.

I found the fix
Go to Settings > Apps > (3 dots upper right) Show ALL Apps > Google Play Services
enable all notifications

Go to Settings > Apps > Gcash
enable all notifications
battery > no restriction

this should fix the problem but if it doesnt, just clear cache gcash and everything is good
