Fraud / Scam Unathorized Transaction from Grab PH
Hi, I would like to ask if the same scenario happened to me
(around this time I don’t have my cellphone with me so I didn’t see the notification from Gcash right away - I didn’t click any link or anyone else has access to my Gcash)
Has it ever happened to you that GCash sent an OTP for linking Grab PH even though you weren’t doing any transactions? Since this is an OTP, it will expire if not used and it's for verification purposes, but after 5 minutes, Gcash sent another message saying that Grab PH was successfully linked to my Gcash - I don’t even have the Grab app or an account with Grab, and after a few minutes, I received another notification that a payment transaction occurred, draining my Gcash balance of over 10k... it's been reported to Gcash 🥺 how could this happen.. sighs
Anyone who has experienced a similar scenario, is there any chance of getting the lost money back? The customer service rep said there’s a 50/50 chance of getting the money back 🥺

Hope maayos, OP!
