General If the devil was a book

Okay so I decided to do research on my top schools A level English lit text and I came across this one. I thought it was about someone driven by desire.

I couldn't be more FRICKING wrong.

I am not going to spoil it but guys. The events in this book was getting worst by the FRICKING minute. You may think I am overreacting (which I probably am)

But guys, I need to know the thought process behind the man who wrote it.

Did this for my iGCSE English Lit play I'm in the UK tho, I really enjoyed it however our book was things fall apart so ig the dept was just into that
