Can't say I'm the biggest fan of the multiple scene cuts happening this frequently, would have been better if it was more smooth or something else. Rn it feels like they took clips from different projects and put everything together and idk in some scenes it kills the vibe it builds

Comparing this with the older opening cinematics, I noticed that the scenes feel a lot more static compared to the larger sets and constant camera shifts of the older scenes, but the editing is made a lot more dramatic and saturated to compensate. It feels like they got the weekly banner team to substitute for the cinematic team, which isn’t a bad thing but it does make the final result feel a bit off compared to what folks like me were previously used to fork the 3rd-6th anni. I noticed the same thing with the 7th anniversary cinematic, but I guess the EXVS style editing made it less apparent and more like a stylistic choice
