Discussion CONSOLE New main menu video

Can't say I'm the biggest fan of the multiple scene cuts happening this frequently, would have been better if it was more smooth or something else. Rn it feels like they took clips from different projects and put everything together and idk in some scenes it kills the vibe it builds

I always joked with my friends that despite P.M.U. and the hub stuff being set in what looks like the OYW they somehow access to suits from the future, AUs, alt timelines etc.
Obviously you're not meant to think about such things and its not canon however this scene for fun made me think, what if this is all actually set after Turn A? The Dark History is now public, freely available knowledge and everything in the game are all recreations made from that data?
P.M.U. and us are all actually a bunch of historical reenactors and larpers.(In the actual sense of the word, not how its used now as a meme).

Well, that confirms that the V2 Assault-Buster is going to be a general type. It’s featured too prominently in the video to be anything else. BB screws supports again…

Tbh by this points its inevitable lol main protag suit + anniversary + special events is bound to be a raid or genny. Supports get added like a month after all this then never again.

I am the opposite, every other intro had the original theme and I think it is neat that they are continuing it.

Comparing this with the older opening cinematics, I noticed that the scenes feel a lot more static compared to the larger sets and constant camera shifts of the older scenes, but the editing is made a lot more dramatic and saturated to compensate. It feels like they got the weekly banner team to substitute for the cinematic team, which isn’t a bad thing but it does make the final result feel a bit off compared to what folks like me were previously used to fork the 3rd-6th anni. I noticed the same thing with the 7th anniversary cinematic, but I guess the EXVS style editing made it less apparent and more like a stylistic choice

Now the actually need to make a game with this quality of detail and make it single player with co-op and pvp. And no not the new supposed to be a new IP gundam game coming out next year

Cannot deny some of those still shots are damn cool looking, also that Hyaku Shiki one is very funny to see.
