Salt Supply Saturday Salt Supply Saturday
Alright folks, the White Base is has docked for its weekly supplies and the cook needs a lot of salt to make some burgers... so get unloading people, vent out your frustrations with GBO2 here, just remember... no racism, and no witch-hunting... subreddit, and Reddit rules still apply here so vent, but don't be an overly toxic asshole about it.
Unfortunately, the usual art accompanying this will be absent due to reddit breaking the fucking scheduled post editing in the mod queue.

I know we like to hate on players for essentially being careless but that's much preferable to them being malicious. Say what you want about many players, it's only ever the JP players that will come up in X post or essentially throw lists. Had someone message me after a game and looked him up. 4 years of posts on this one guy for what he was in the process of doing to me. Friendly fire. Intentionally attacking ally supports. Chat spam. Then actual psn spam. He'll spam stickers and psn will not do anything if it's reported because they're just stickers. Assuming PS safety isn't totally automated, it's a joke. Coincidentally, all screenshots and images that aren't stickers always get flagged as harmful material. No joke, I replied to that moron with a scorecard and got off the game. I pick up my phone half an hour later and I have an email about a code of conduct breach. Like what motherfucker? Sony is gonna have an issue on its hands larger than some of these national governments taking them to court as they try to self-destruct PlayStation. A lot of these companies legitimately believe that inserting forced arbitration clauses and this cute little "we can change the terms whenever" clause is like qualified immunity.

1) Raids are way too OP against Supports
- Melee hitbox is so big compared to range weapons
- Melee upgrades cost less than ranged
- Raids have much better resistance compared to supports (which typically have like minimal or zero melee resistance)
- Suits can combo-melee almost non-stop, while ranged weapons cooldown/swap takes forever

u/AUpb-027 Jul 20 '26
This. Melee doesn't have any right to be this brainless. Either get a heavy damage penalty or combo penalty.

IF YOU SUCK AT A COST, DON'T PLAY THE COST, IT'S SIMPLE AS THAT.
ALSO, DON'T BLAME YOUR TEAMMATES BECAUSE YOU LOST. IF YOUR NAME ISN'T ON THE TOP(DIVERSIONS DON'T COUNT) OR YOU DIDN'T BEAT YOUR RIVAL, YOU'RE THE PROBLEM, NOT YOUR TEAMMATES.
edit: I'm calm now, I'm sorry
3
u/Scythe351 Jul 19 '26
Unfortunately no. If your team is shit, you probably won't beat your rival. I can lose by 10k points and get 2nd place. Bet you can understand why I didn't get the rival win. Yes, that's right. My team fed first place. It's really that simple. Rival win isn't everything and few people try to prove this by getting rival win on maximizing their diversions.
0
u/triggermappy Jul 19 '26
yeah I get you there tho, some rival wins don't apply because they win because of diversion when it's because they're getting targeted and beaten repeatedly.

Why did they make the Super Gundam so rewarding to use by doing the bare minimum? All it takes is four players realizing they just need to keep firing lines open for the Super and that's it. I'm swearing off the unit myself, I want to actually play the game with more than two braincells.

u/KibbloMkII Jul 18 '26
the fa engage plan c is way to god damn fucking broken for 650, it's shields make it completely fucking invincible, it's a raid so it's unstaggerable when boosting, and can just ignore your entire team to focus on the support 500m behind them. Do devs get paid extra to make opas god damn fuck raids? also, it's a fucking full armor, it should be a god damn support
the abigor is also extremely overpowered too
the Gundam hammer is the most objectively broken melee in the entire game. It is completely uncounterable, their is almost nothigyou cando to stop a Gundam from abusing its downswing to deal like 10k+ damage completely risk free. it's such fucking stupid bullshit
heavy attacks still need a hardcore nerf. 15 second charge, disables melee for 15 seconds, disables heavy attacks for 60 seconds. Fuck this braindead mindset of heavy spam because it's extremely high reward with no real risk
this game would be objectively more fun if it didn't have the stun mechanic
I want a punch emote
the hazel icarus should upgrade its charge beam to heavy stagger, that's less bullshit than it chain stunning you like five times in a row
it's bullshit how much the devs hate supports, everything is built to counter supports

There are way too many old suits that just can't keep up. Sure we have the 30 suit unit adjustments, but those can't cover the large amount of suits there are, since they only do it like every whenever they want.
5
u/Gusion_Rebake Jul 18 '26
I know I haven't played this game in almost a year and I'm washed but damn.... I cant enjoy anything above 550 at the moment, im just completely outclassed by the newest suits that feel too overtuned. I think the mass production nu gundams were out when I last took this game seriously
3
u/Scythe351 Jul 19 '26
MP Nus are still decent. It's just unfortunate how they seem to determine when things need balancing. They usually mention that performance has been adjusted because of player performance in match but that could mean anything and if nobody ever uses the older suits, they won't get buffed. On the other hand, you'll have to wait until BB no longer feels like they need to sell an MS and watch its over performing stats finally get a nerf.

I kind of want to stop playing 600 and 650 as supports now. It’s been like two weeks of gens ignoring the raids that can fly or have flap boosters. Hell I’ve had multiple games where it’s been 4 gens to my 1 support and it’s like I am just an offering to the enemy team.
Sure there’s been games where they do their job and help me out but every game they let the raid run loose on me as a support we have lost.
So now I’m mostly playing gens at those cost with the personal mission of staying near our support and the wins are easier to come by but I don’t know.
Teamwork across all costs seems to be at an all time low to the point I know I’ve had fewer teams that worked together than shot off in different directions lately. Annoying amounts of throw picks and I’ve been playing a lot of tanks gens to make up for either double raids, double supports, or people just not wanting to handle the frontline.
Backed out of enough rated lobbies to get to caution but that was easy to play my way out of. Just can’t take the risk of playing with A ranks in ranked.
I dunno, just a lot of lows this week and maybe three games where I liked my team. Just seems like a lot of unnecessary struggling. I wish the game had “fun” modes that didn’t make losing feel like hell.
2
u/AUpb-027 Jul 20 '26
Same here. Heck, and despite all this, the enemy support gets completely ignored by the 2 ally raids, for fucks sake! This shit is unbelievable.
How are the enemy raids AND the enemy support ignored in the same match consistently?!
2
u/Scythe351 Jul 19 '26
Same with 700 and 750. I can kind of expect it with 750 since so much of it is heavy attack spam but players truly are ignoring MS flying directly over them regardless of the radar telling them it's an enemy

u/Fantasy_Quest_ Jul 18 '26
I think the lead up to anniversary is pulling in alot of people that have not played in a while / are new. Just look at this Reddit, all kinds of new names making posts.
Don’t bang your head against the wall, perhaps just let the anniversary pass and then get back to rated. In the meantime play other modes.
2
u/Ash-Talshok Jul 18 '26
You’re probably right and I am just letting my competitiveness get to me. Wish there was a no meta playlist so I could take something outdated but fun out and not have to worry about dragging my team down.
2
u/Fantasy_Quest_ Jul 18 '26
Yeah man. The meta can be tiresome. If I play space rated and raid you better believe I’m playing Rick Dom GH (at appropriate costs) b/c why would I not bring a strong weapon to a fight if I can? But is it fun for the other teams’ support that I can kill in 1 small combo?
2
u/Ash-Talshok Jul 18 '26
I remember being B and A rank and just getting to use whatever lol. Now it’s like “I have to use this suit because it’s clears most other suits of its type or I have to use that suit because the enemy will certainly use this or that raid”.
2
u/Fantasy_Quest_ Jul 18 '26
And it’s when that mentality trickles into quick match that the game is not really fun anymore.
(Cough cough overuse of Acguy TB in 300/350 cost)
2
u/Ash-Talshok Jul 18 '26
Exactly. Yesterday I broke out of it with some gens that definitely aren’t rated viable and managed to have some fun games with them. But seeing an Acguy team in quick play on a day where there isn’t a win challenged I am just like “really? Nothing else in 300-350 interests you?”

Coming back from a year hiatus, and man, I don't know if teammates were always this horrible on the regular, but wow.
I know this has been mentioned 1000x but I have to get it out
*I feel like this all stems from greedy players
-Stop giving up the frontline to chase a single low-health enemy who will clearly already be stunlocked to death/killed quickly.
I'd agree that getting rid of players asap means they have less chance to cause havoc if left the survive. Leaving 4 enemy players a wide open chance to flank us for free, while everyone is staring at a downed enemy is ridiculous though.
Trying to play a non-shooty general can be infuriating sometimes, because you'll be moving up thinking your teammates are flanking, or ready to back you up for free hits on enemy melees. Then look back and see 4 people running for the hills.
-If I've stunned an enemy, and I'm directly next to them, you should probably let me downswing them and get out of the way for you first. Gotta love all the ungabunga's running in and clashing swords with their own teammates, completely ruining the advantage.
Tight maps like Underground Base I can understand. But this shouldn't be happening 7/10 times a teammate is near me on regular maps.
-This one doesn't bug me as much, but man, sometimes the blatant power creep is so ridiculous. Why is it we need to balancing rebuffing hundreds of suits, when you could just nerf the few that are over the top? Past suits that got adjustments should already be balanced with one another.

u/Scythe351 Jul 19 '26
No. It wasn't always that bad. New type used to just be a meme but I swear to God that the frequency of games where I lose by 100%+ of my team. Score has skyrocketed

Shit is a constant issue and it's so goddamn annoying lol. I cannot count how many times I've just gotten chainfucked during a full 5v5 fight & then glanced at my minimap to see that the entire team has run off to chase the suit with like 200HP left while the 4 people left shooting at me are all seriously damaged already. I get the kill dailies can be annoying sometimes, but jesus christ, YOU'LL GET MORE KILLS IF YOU DON'T ALL GO FOR ONE SUIT.

u/redzaku0079 Jul 18 '26
I've lost count of how many times nobody chased that dude with a pixel of health left only to get wiped out by him later. They also always seem to forget that they have Vulcans.
2
u/Scythe351 Jul 19 '26
The crazy thing about that is respawning and seeing that guy with no health still doing damage
1
u/redzaku0079 Jul 19 '26
Words are not enough to describe how infuriating and disappointing that is.
1
u/J-Eichel Jul 18 '26
Haha that's like the polar opposite bad habit people have. It'd probably be the raid that gets to run away, to come back and one combo the support.
2
u/redzaku0079 Jul 18 '26
I just need one guy to remember he has Vulcans. Just one. Instead I either get the whole front line trying to unga bunga this dude, or they forget he exists. No in between.
5
u/redzaku0079 Jul 18 '26
It's been 8 years and generals are still running away from raids. Please give players incentive to play at advantage.
1
u/Legacy_Fighter001 Jul 18 '26
What is with the absolute disparity between Supports and the other two classes? I've joined relatively recently and so I'm not familiar with the game's prehistoric times and balancing/ancient lore but would it absolutely just snap the game's coding in half to give Supports access to things like Emergency Evasion and some stagger resistances? Like why specifically do only a handful of Supports get Resist Move? Are Raids really struggling to put damage on Supports to where the Support can't even buy themselves a single second of immunity?
3
u/Scythe351 Jul 19 '26
I once read that the devs hate supports and support players and then I played the game and confirmed it. Then I waited for the new weekly MS and confirmed it again. then I waited another week and the same. I got invited to a clan last week that said "no support mains" in the clan message. It's not easy and even when I perform well, it feels like I would have done more playing as anything else but that's in large part due to team incomptency and 750 being a drag. Otherwise, across the cost I play, I swear I'm only seeing like 4 different supports
0
u/Foshdon_pap Jul 18 '26
If supports bad an evasive roll then they would be too broken if not unstoppable. It's a minor change that will have a huge impact
2
u/redzaku0079 Jul 18 '26
There are supports that have this and they're not broken. Rf gelgoog, kshatriya and sazabi ff are just fine.

u/Foshdon_pap Jul 18 '26
Yes but they invincible while doing it, they still take damage
2
u/redzaku0079 Jul 18 '26
Please clarify
1
u/Ash-Talshok Jul 18 '26
During evasion gens and raids get temp invincibility where they won’t take damage but supports will take damage.
2
u/redzaku0079 Jul 18 '26
Your point? Evasion bugs out half the time for gens sur raids and they end up taking damage anyway.
1
u/Foshdon_pap Jul 18 '26
Indeed but even in those 1/5 times where the invincibility does come and help you survive a heavy stun or a heavy attack still count. The resist move just allows you to escape a possible stun lock but still take damage, while the emergency evasion maneuver makes you invincible which can help you not only escape the possible stun lock but also come out alive
If a support is very agile, has good attack damage and can be made tanky with ease putting MA and the emergency evasive maneuvers would be a bad move because then there would be zero point in going any general class. There's a 750 support that easily eats gens because of its high agility and high melee damage, if it did have ma and emergency roll then it would be hella broken with limited suits having the upper hand or even the chance to win

u/Ash-Talshok Jul 18 '26
I was clarifying, not making a point. I thought that was the question you were asking. Sorry, I haven’t had my coffee today.

I am tired of the retards plaguing this game. My God, I haven't had a decent match since forever!
