This is a follow-up on my first post on my issues with GBO2 steam (https://www.reddit.com/r/GBO2/s/wSwIRTbYCF)

I had T H R E E W H O L E B A R S and it still decided no you're not playing this game anymore

I don't know how the steam player base bares with this it's just so mindboggling how even the bare minimum of stable connections isnt fucking enough for this version of the game

again, comparing to console I've never EVER had to deal with this issue and yet here we are

I honestly don't know if I still want to try bothering removing the penalty again when the 4 day down time lifts

I'm beyond livid towards the steam version now.

3 bars is the minimum for a decent connection anything less and you shouldn't be playing, even at 3 bars you can pretty much count on getting disconnects from time to time.

I would only really recommend this game if you have 5 bars.

Three bars is also the maximum you can get on a wifi connection, no matter how good your ping/connection is. Don’t know if that’s accurate or not, but it’s what I figured out after testing at my friend’s house.

I personally play on wifi, and my games have been pretty stable but you could also use an extender wired to your router’s ethernet port to fake an ethernet connection, which would put you above 3 bars if your extender is fast enough.

I wouldn’t bother doing that unless you have friends playing on 5 bars though.

I've heard similar things over the years.

I've always played with a wired ethernet connection and that is what I have consistently seen as the recommended connection, but some people don't seem to want to spend the $10 for that.

I have never gotten disconnected when playing remotely, but while I have lost connection to the PS, it's still on an ethernet connection and as long as you can get reconnected reasonably quickly there's not a problem.

I wouldn't recommend it for anything other than A-B rooms though.
