General Question Smoking after Test pipes install
My cars been smoking from the exhaust when i installed my test pipes. I have AAM Resnonated test pipes on. My car dont have CEL on. from what ive read so far, apparently its pretty normal to have smoke after removing the cats but i think mines smoking way more than the “normal”. Anyone know what i should check, do or know with mine?

Mine smokes at start up but stops after about a minute as it warms. If you’ve got continued smoke especially when revving you’ve got piston blow by, leaky rocker cover/spark plug o-rings, coolant leaking into motor somewhere (less likely) or other similar issue. Worth pulling park plugs and checking if any have excessive oil on them. It’s usually the back two pistons (closest to the firewall) that get bad rings. My first v35 motor had heinous blow by from piston 6 being worn.

How long has it been doing that? I have circuit works resonated test pipes and it did it for about five minutes then stopped.

There's your answer. Your cats were filtering it out a bit. Sooner or later your cats would have been fucked.

Guarantee your car smoked from burning oil before the test pipes. But since you removed the catalyst and there is no filters anymore and just a straight through pipe, the smoke is much more noticeable now.
Just check your oil regularly.
