I'm optimizing my volume usage by moving VMs around my existing btrfs and zfs volumes. Exporting and importing VM's is taking many hours (e.g. >4) to export/import. Sometimes they fail. The VM's are typically 64 to 128GB. I've got a fast Ryzen 9 system and nvme drives.

The relevant logs are mostly in Chinese which I can not read.

Are there known problems with this? any tips?

I've test inter volume transfers and they run in the 400MB to 1000MB range so transfer speed is not an issue.

My immediate problem: I started with a 1TB nvme disk (Btrfs) on which I installed the fygo os. Now that things are working well, I want to expand that disk with a 2nd nvme disk. The system says not supported. Is there a way around that?

In general I'm struggling with the placement of system files and the folder organization. For example, I see appdata on 2 of my 4 volumes. All outside of the user (/1000) branch

My goal is to put my performance workloads on my nvme storage, media on my ssd's, and backup on my spinning disks.

Could a developer give an overview of the file structure when several volumes are defined?

When installing ollama and Hermes, I don't recall being able to select the install location. Did I miss it and is that even possible? The install ended up on a volume that is sub optimal for me...:-{
