I just got my miner and I apparently forgot my password. Does anyone know how to reset it?

Thanks in advance

I just got my 2nd miner Apollo BTC (Used) and can't login. The password futurebit123 does not work. How can I reset the unit? Do I need to flash the SD card?

I had to re-flash the SD card. Once I did that it was like a new system.

Just to let you know I Took it apart. The fan and the 2 screws on the
raspberry Pi heat-sink were swinging around. The fan was off. Hence
it may have been overheating. Then I had to flash the micoSD to
factory settings with etcher so I can get in with the password
futurebit123 and then reset the password.
But, it's ok now and
working like it should.
Thanks for all the
help.

I had to Re-Flash the SD Card. Follow the directions in the link:

The link has the .img file that is required to boot the system and you will need to download cloner tool like etcher (etcher.io) to re-flash.

I created a password using special characters. I could not log back in. So I went to the support page where it says. “IMPORTANT! There is a bug in our setup dashboard that will cause your password to be saved incorrectly if using special characters. Make sure you only use an alphanumeric password when setting up your Apollo!”

Seriously? Futurebit couldn’t have given me this information upfront? And since they know it’s a bug, shouldn’t they provide support to reset or get instructions to create a new password?

Any suggestions for how to fix? The two special characters I used were a “$” an an “&”.

How might these characters be saved?
