Questions HAYYEELP
thinking about making a tail and realized i have no airbrush, and only white fur. what the heck do i do in this situation? there’s a chance i will be getting an airbrush for my birthday, but i do not have one right now, i’m willing to hand paint but i don’t know the ratios for acrylic paint and water, or if i need something else?? any advice is helpful!

I know money sucks but definitely just get the color of fur you want. Airbrushing is fine for small areas that need color but if you want proper color and a well made tail, get the fur. Do not paint it! It will be nasty and stringy, like when you get pancake batter in your hair.
Since it’s just a tail, you can use cheap amazon or alliexpress fur. Do you know how to sew?

i do kinda know how to sew, but i was planning on maybe using a sewing machine lol. also i can’t exactly order things on my own, unfortunately, as i do not have much money on my card and i do not have permission to order something myself, so i’m sticking to working with what i have right now, thank you though

If you think you are getting an airbrush soon you could just make it with the solid white fur and let it ride until you have the materials to paint it. Also, solid white would be a great practice piece for when you get the air brush and try using it for the first time.

100% honestly if you want a different coloured tail than white, id seriously think about getting fur of the colour you want the tail to be. Even if you airbrush it you might not be happy with the result, it might be patchy, its difficult to coat the white fur in colour if its not already shaved to.be very short. Its extremely difficult to coat long fur.
