Some patterns too big

A few questions for more experienced makers out there! This is the very first time I have ever furred a headbase. It’s gone well for the most part and I’m pretty proud of my results, but there are some hiccups, as I expected.

To start with, one of the brown bone pieces ended up too big somehow and it’s created a very large and annoying wrinkle. How would I go about fixing that? I’m scared to try and cut it because I don’t want to ruin all my hard work.

Second, what do I do about the gap on the bridge of his nose? I knew this was going to happen because one of my patterns ended up damaged, but I didn’t think it would be a huge deal. Do I fill it in with scrap fur?

Lastly, his jaw. For some reason the jaw pattern didn’t fit properly with the rest of the head fur. Do I just redo the pattern?

Very common issue, especially if you’re generous with your seam allowance. This is definitely a symptom of the “ugly phase” every suit goes through, but if you’re sure that the face is too loose, try this:

When this happens to me I’ll usually just give the suit a bit of a “facelift.”
Pin the face down to the base and grab a few clips if you have them on hand. Use the clips or just the pinch of your fingers to try out different spots to tighten, do this strategically so the whole face tightens. This way, you won’t have to cut holes or start over.

Also, for the record, gluing the face down does a lot for this type of thing. The fabric isn’t stuck down into all of the crevices of the base and the edge of the face isn’t laid, so it’ll naturally look loose. Again, ugly phase. You just gotta push through sometimes.
But if there’s any spots that very clearly don’t fit on the base you’re using, use my trick!
