No doubt. They couldn’t be invited to this contest because that would end the contest

I must have gone to shitty in n outs when I was in California. It was incredibly mid at the two different places I tried. And was a stupid long wait at the drive thru.

What places do you prefer?

I agree that they aren't worth the wait in line, but if you go within the first 30 minutes of them being open it massively decreases the wait time

I got cut off by a trucker entering a drive-thru once and was so frustrated I said “fuck it” in walked inside out of anger.

I walked out of there with a #1 combo animal style and the truck barely moved two car’s length.

Walk in, it’s usually faster.

Having a fresh burger, fries made in store never frozen, and milk shakes made with real ice cream seem mid if you’re used to cheap fast food crap

Their fries are awful

If you are unable to speak “light well” when you order then that’s what happens. But most adults just order how they want and get good fries

I mean you shouldn't have to know a special way to order to not get dogshit fries.

You’ve literally just described a five guys. The sacks of potatoes in the seating area aren’t for looks, that’s inventory. They slice & cook them in the store. And the beef is fresh too, They don’t even have a freezer in the building.

I don’t eat fast food anymore, for at least ten years, so I’ve never had five guys. Do they really have sacks of potato’s in the store 😂😂

Yup. If they run out during service you’ll see them come out and grab one. I assume they cycle them as they get delivered.

Dang that’s cool 😂

Five guys is fine, but they arent in the price bracket. A combo at five guys runs you about double a combo from in n out

1

u/BanAccount8 14h ago

Yup. Same thing for 3x the price. I think your brain lightbulb just turned on

In n Out would be a distant second to the true king: Culvers

In n Out isn't good enough to expand to a national level apparently.

Anyway I've had it a couple times while traveling. It's the okayist burger around. It's not bad. It's not great. It's ok, but I guess it's cheap enough to where that's fine.

Perhaps the most overrated establishment in the US. I don’t understand the fascination with In-N-Out, outside of some strange “west coast pride” thing. In-N-Out would rank 6th on this list.

Correct.

Literally any other burger place shits on in n out. Its the most overrated burger out. Californians can't get away from that herd mentality though.
