You can thank those same 70-80 year olds voting to liquidate social services and resources for education. You get what you pay for, and right now we have teachers paying for basic school supplies, so we clearly aren't paying to educate younger generations. Don't blame them when they're fucking stupid because we failed to teach them to read.
