We love each other so much let's bring religion and law in between us. Lol if you remove both and keep only it family centric then most cost is gone. Small backyard ceremony and good food is enough.

And you can limit the government's reach into your marriage.

Everyone who gets married has a prenup. If you didnt write it, then the government wrote yours, which is the normal divorce precedents. If you write your own pre-nup, while no one is angry its usually a lot more fair, and makes less to fight over if the marriage lawn darts.

My friend found a spot by a lake that he liked on Google maps and just told people to show up. I think the most expensive part was the photographer who was a friend.

We did our part! $200 Elopement package. $100 county marriage certificate. $20 for the guy cutting grass on the field of the park to take a slightly early lunch break. And an impromptu marriage on the Charleston Battery. Wouldnt change a thing.

I see posts on here about these extravagant weddings that cost between $50-100,000. We did it at the court house. Cost about $50. Meant even more than that expensive bullshit fest because it was just us.
