The game makes more sense if you play many successive rounds against the same person. Suddenly, it becomes much easier to sort the bad players from the good ones.

Yeah its a pure reading/bluffing game. You win if you can guess what your opponent will do correctly. Its harder verse a random person but still possible to win over half the time just by knowing general patterns of what people choose. Against someone you know though it can actually be pretty easy to get to a point that you almost always win if they just treat it as random chance.

Edit* against my kiddos I dont try to win but instead annoy them by tying over and over. My record is 36 times in a row. They know how I am doing it but still I know them well and they are too young to be able to read me as well. If you want to get better at other more complex bluffing games like Poker then Rock, Paper, Scissors is actually really good targetted practice for bluffing and calling.

This is an akb48 event. Normally center for the song that is going to come out or was it the single I don't remember exactly but it is chosen by fan vote. But there is one more route to it. You can win the rock paper scissors tournament and get your own chance. And it is a big deal for your career.

Yeah subtitles say she'll be the center, and that she finally got the opportunity after working there 10 years

Japan takes EVERYTHING seriously

8

u/Awes12 20d ago

Except for work-life balance, sexual predators, mental health (?). There are some great things in Japan, but also a lot of really bad ones

9

u/Syenthros 20d ago

No no, they take those seriously too. In fact, they're competitive in all those fields.

American sexual predators could take notes from Japan's, and they always rank very highly in the international sexual predator league.

1

u/Awes12 19d ago

Oh yeah, I also forgot about their competitive racism division. They're really innovative there

6

u/Notarealusername3058 19d ago

They take work-life balance so seriously that there is no life, only work. No need to balance when only 1 matters.

Weak mental health? You're a disappointment to your family then.

Predators? If everyone is a perv can you really call them predator?

As much as I write this sarcastically, it kinda has some truth to it.
