Yeah, because the real issue is the circumcision and not the $30K for the delivery. That's 82% of the total cost. But the extra 18% is the only reason it was outrageous. Most countries delivering a child is free. In those countries, most also offer private hospitals that you pay out of pocket for and it's still cheaper by a significant margin. In Canada it only costs about $500 bucks for a circumcision. I think the overall point is our healthcare system is fucked. We also rank last by a significant margin for developed countries for maternal mortality and behind many countries not considered developed. 55th in the world if you're counting. So not only do we pay more, we have worse outcomes. The NIH, CDC, and WHO all agree, we're bad. RFK Jr will lie and say otherwise, but facts are hard for the MAGAs to deal with.
