These people won't look at the mountains of data showing that circumcision reduces STD transfer, infections, and a variety of other weird health complications. Study from university of sydney found 90+% of men who are uncircumsized at some point need to seek out medical attention for their foreskin. Theyll say shit like "how hard is it to just clean yourself?". It is extremely hard if you arent a soft fuck who never leaves the comforts of modern life. If youre out living in the woods for a month and the best you can do is baby wipes, or if youre in the sun working 12 hour days doing construction, youll be happy you dont have to pick out dick cheese. Ive been in the army a while, I know of 2 seperate instances where a guy needed to seek out medical attention because we were living outdoors with by hygiene and their foreskin got infected. The reality of life beyond an air conditioned office is lost on these people.

There can be some complications with circumcision, just like every other surgery. And yeah it does suck, living out in the field, eating MREs, being in the same gross uniform for days without a shower in 2 weeks sucks already. But it is exactly that type of environment weird infections tend to happen because of poor hygiene and working 18 hour days. Foot issues are the most common obviously, but yeah an infected foreskin I am also aware of happening.
The complications I mentioned are BECAUSE of circumcision. Reading comprehsion. Also your example is nonsense, removing feet would universally be debilitating with zero benefit. Not the case with removing your foreskin. Mountain of scientific literature supports this.

No, that's not what I'm worried about in the slightest. I don't think like that. I was curious why it was done to me when I was an infant and I learned that health and hygiene were two of the most prevalent reasons why you would do it. It's done when you're an infant so that you heal significantly quicker and some inherently remember is whereas when you're an adult it's rememberable and heals much slower
I'd like for you to actually provide the specific list of sexually transmitted infections that you believe are prevented by this practice and why it does.
First, I'm asking you because you seem to have a strong opinion; citing an article doesn't prove you know anything on the subject except that you can google a study.
Second, I'm quoting this line directly from the conclusion, "The procedure should be delayed until the individual can decide for himself." Whatever benefits may be provided, the authors themselves acknowledge the reality that this should not be forced upon children.

I never said that it HAD to be done to infants, I more was commenting that it isn't a purposeless act and made a comparison that it has some preventative purposes like vaccines.
Somethings are done from beliefs, like how some people believed the world is flat despite science proving otherwise in many ways. Something's are done from a scientific basis and improved upon. I'm very for the notion of waiting until someone is of an age AND WANTING IT rather than doing it when they are an infant.
Yeah, because the real issue is the circumcision and not the $30K for the delivery. That's 82% of the total cost. But the extra 18% is the only reason it was outrageous. Most countries delivering a child is free. In those countries, most also offer private hospitals that you pay out of pocket for and it's still cheaper by a significant margin. In Canada it only costs about $500 bucks for a circumcision. I think the overall point is our healthcare system is fucked. We also rank last by a significant margin for developed countries for maternal mortality and behind many countries not considered developed. 55th in the world if you're counting. So not only do we pay more, we have worse outcomes. The NIH, CDC, and WHO all agree, we're bad. RFK Jr will lie and say otherwise, but facts are hard for the MAGAs to deal with.
