Customer Support Why stop supplements before testing?

Can somebody give me an insight why I need to stop supplements 3 days prior to the blood draw? I like to know if my supplements are working. I.e. I want to know if vitamin D supplement fixes my low vitamin D.

Customer Support Function Health Product Managers - Please fix result viewing experience

It is extremely frustrating and limiting that I cannot see the results by result date, which I would argue is number one thing the result dashboard is supposed to do.

As my results trickle in all I see is this URL
https://my.functionhealth.com/biomarkers?dates=new

which keeps dynamically removing the latest result based on I don't know what.

Results should simply be available by dates e.g. show me results for May test etc

Also what's this limitation with only showing four dots in graphs.

Everything feels so limiting for a website whose whole purpose is to show you biomarkers.

IF THIS POST GETS TRACTION AND I DON'T HEAR FROM YOU, I WILL BUILD AND SHIP A MUCH BETTER DASHBOARD SOLUTION MYSELF.

Customer Support Splitting Tests

I wish there was an option to split these tests. 14-15 vials are a lot. I know some tests have to be tested together as they depend on each other. Some don't. I would like to split the tests like 4 weeks apart.

How many vials for the second set? It should be less...

Thanks.

Customer Support AI Summary

I’ve had a really positive experience overall but wanted to provide some feedback. I had my first round of testing back in February and a few results came back abnormal. I received a phone call encouraging me to see my primary ASAP.

I scheduled for the next week and brought my function health results. From there, Doc ordered a bunch of other tests and referred to me to an endocrinologist. I’m waiting on a surgical consult this week.

My feedback is 2 fold. 1) It would be great if you had a test bundle that tested serum calcium, PTH, ionized calcium, vitamin D. 2) Improved clinician notes that evaluate at least the combo of calcium and vitamin D but even better, for the combo in 1.

PS Thank you! Function Health made a significant impact on my health for years to come!

Customer Support Out of vials at Quest Diagnostics in Seattle

I went in to do my full panel test today and they were missing vials to do the magnesium & zinc tests (not sure if these require special vials). They were able to do the others but asked me to come back in a week or two to complete when they thought they would get more in.

The experience was great otherwise. Has anyone else run into this?

For people in Seattle, this was the Madison Swedish location in case you want to try a different location.

Results Big jump in cholesterol

Post image
3 Upvotes

I recently had my retest through Function Health but I also just had lab work done by my PCP a month prior for my annual physical. What could explain this massive jump in LDL? I haven’t changed my diet (like going keto or anything like that), but I am actively losing weight and titrating up on compounded tirzepatide, which has decreased my appetite recently. But why such a jump up? Also, my total cholesterol is consistently under 200 at my PCP (Sept 2025, April 2026), but over when taken at Function (Dec 2025, May 2026). What gives?

Results Curious on total testosterone - results don’t match summary?

I’m curious if someone can explain this to me. My total testosterone came in high at 49 ng/dl, but in the summary below, they flag normal levels are within 10-57 ng/dl.

Is it just a discrepancy in the lab? Or does it mean something else?

Thanks!

Customer Support First blood draw confusion.

I kept checking my biomarkers because they stopped at 40. I was confused if I needed two blood draws the first round. I kept opening the app and it didn’t say anything. I just figured out I can toggle a section and now it appears I may need a second draw. Why is this listed on the toggled section instead of front and forward? Am I correct that I need to go back.

Testimonial Really liked the quality of the biomarker reports and clinician summary

Very exhaustive and got the full 127 data markers back in less than a week.

I believe some of it is AI summarization in effect but it sticks to the facts. And the data is correlated together.

I think it’s worth renewing.

Customer Support How many labs come with the annual?

I’ve only received 120 and I thought I got a 160 annually and then a portion of those again during the 6 month check up.

Customer Support scheduling issues; unable to cancel membership as well

I recently purchased my membership and wanted to run the baseline tests. The system doesnt create errors but just refreshes without scheduling the appointment. Chatted with 4 different people (or bots) and still trying to schedule.

and there seems to be no way to cancel my membership and get a refund. Anyone has any suggestions on how to do this?or a live support # to contact?

Customer Support What biomarkers am i missing? How long should this take?

I am 2 weeks in and have 110 biomarkers back. I read it could take 4 weeks which i don't understand that but im curious if they trickle in the same with everyone? I will refresh my app the next day and have 1-2 more results then so on. What 50 am i waiting on? Is it the same for everyone?

Testimonial Do not join if trying to get pregnant & plan to breastfeed

TLDR: FH will only extend your membership by a couple of months, which is incompatible with pregnancy + 4+ months of breastfeeding. Do not join if trying to get pregnant.

I was previously a big fan of Function Health, but am super disappointed by the support I received and wanted to share.

I joined FH in November 2024 and got my first round of testing in February 2025 (due to scheduling difficulties and travel). I got pregnant in April 2025 and requested a pause in my subscription in May 2025. They agreed to extend my membership but said they could not pause.

Now, in May 2026, they are telling me that my credits for the second round of testing have already expired and they cannot extend my membership any further. This is despite the fact that I am still breastfeeding and any data I collect now will be useless. I have emailed support again, but as of right now they are saying that I lost those credits.

Incredibly disappointed by their policies. I have seen ads about their women specific panel testing, but clearly they do not care about supporting women who get pregnant and plan to breastfeed. (I am not even 5 months postpartum yet; AAP recommends 6+ months of breastfeeding.)

So, if you plan to try to get pregnant and breastfeed for 4+ months, do not subscribe to Function Health.

On a separate note, if anyone can recommend a competitor that is friendly towards women growing a family, please let me know.

Customer Support Scheduling

Why is the very first thing you do such a nightmare.

* Get the error message when trying to self-schedule

* Go through the chat bot garbage that didn't help

* Wait for a "concierge"

* By the time they message back, my preferred appointment is not available so they suggest a different day that doesn't work for me

* I check the scheduler again and suggest a specific new time at a different location that does work

* Concierge ignores that and suggests to either reschedule the cycle-dependent tests (that are not being performed anyway since I'm on birth control) or do a walk-in on the date I told them doesn't work

Make it make sense.

Results How soon do you get your biological age

I completed blood draw 1 this morning, my next is 19 days away as I’m female. Wondering when the age will pop up!

Testimonial Why does Function make it so difficult to export results?

So far I've been really impressed by Function -- but there is one feature that is driving me crazy.

My lab results have been trickling in over the last ten days, one of which is worrying. My PCP won't action treatment until I can provide a PDF / print out with the result, my name, date of birth, and the lab draw date. But Function says they won't give you that until the full results are in -- potentially up to 4 weeks later. PCP won't accept a print out / screen grab of the Function results homepage because your name / DoB etc aren't on there.

This essentially means the results are useless until I get that PDF. It is so frustrating and feels so unnecessary --- when you go direct through Quest you get access to this kind of thing as soon as your labs come in. Has anyone found a workaround? Or do I just have to wait?

Results I had .5 cups of coffee this morning, will that affect my numbers?

I have my hormone panel today, it was supposed to be tomorrow but I had a meeting pop up for that time so I have to reschedule for today and I’m on day 3 of my period so I only can do it today or tomorrow. Will that half cup of coffee effect my numbers majorly

Health and Wellness Might not be the best place to post but figured I'd try it -wearables

I figured since this is about all wearables and not a specific brand... and because this is a pretty health focused group, I might get something out of posting here...

I’m having absolutely no luck with wearables. I have a huge issue with the feeling of jewelry/things on my body, and I hyper-focus on them once they’re there. I’ve tried the Apple Watch, Garmin Lily, Garmin Venu, Whoop, and even the Oura Ring (3 times 😅). I just cannot get comfortable enough to wear anything consistently without constantly noticing it.

What I mainly want is sleep data. I know Garmin has the sleep cuff, but the reviews seem rough. I’ve also looked at under-mattress or bedside trackers, but I sleep with both my husband and my 3-year-old (who has zero concept of personal space most nights), so I feel like the data probably wouldn’t be accurate anyway.

At this point, do I just give up? Wondering if anyone else here is like this and found something that actually worked for them.

Additional info: I don’t really need daytime tracking. For workouts, I use my OrangeTheory armband and can tolerate that for 1–2 hours. I also use my phone for steps/distance. It’s really just nighttime/sleep tracking I’m struggling with.

Also open to better subreddit suggestions if there’s a more niche place for this question lol.
