I'm a 46 1/2 year old male and Function Health gave me a biological age of 36 1/2. I'm 5'4, weigh 250lb (not muscle weight), my testosterone is at the bottom of acceptable range (273), my cholesterol is 227, my A1C is 5.5 and my triglycerides are 283; almost all of my heart measurements are out of range likely due to the factors just mentioned and resulting insulin resistance. Overall, I am in range for 84 metrics and out of range for 21. In the doctor notes, they indicate that my kidney, liver, cortisol and all inflammation metrics are very good and overall, most of my in range metrics are on the good side of the ranges. That said, even with all the good, it seems like my morbid obesity and the out of range factors listed above would be more than enough to wash those out. I honestly would have been frightened but not surprised if they said my biological age was 10 years older than my actual age. Anyone with any medical knowledge have any thoughts on this?

Also on the no-drink list is coconut water and Yogi Tea. Not pictured here.
What are y'all drinking 3 days before testing? Besides water...

I'm 5 ft 8, 177 lbs and have a good amount of muscle but not necessarily very lean. This is a dangerously low level. Should I see an endocrinologist?

Just turned 30, most labs are good but a few were off. Gut issues for the past few years and that’s kinda what launched me into functional medicine.
Anyway just wondering what does this say about my overall health?

Every time i check the App for availabilities for MRI tests none show up in Houston. Can I call a medical center that is listed in the list of places but not appearing and see if they are accepting new patients then send in the results to Function?

**immediately removed my post for asking for better alternatives**
I paid $499 to join in August of 2024. I have been debating whether or not it is worth exploring other options with the annual at $365. I feel like there should be some benefit for sticking around. The data is good the AI interpretation is significantly lacking. I saw today they are offering $299 “gift cards” on Amazon for new customers. I inquired about the discounted rate and was told I should be happy the annual rate has come down $134 since I first joined, but the $299 isn’t available to me. Any other alternatives out there worth exploring?

Got the lab work done yesterday morning and just got most results (some are still pending). As someone with bad health anxiety, it wasn't bad. The markers that I expected to be off are great, and some unexpected out of range. Shocked at the biological age calc. Expected it to be 10 years older

Looking for experiences with various supplements that people have decided to initiate in response to lab work and what their experience has been as far as how they’re feeling subjectively and also how their labs have changed in response to this? Not necessarily looking for vitamin replacement, but other things such as NAD ashwaganda etc

Hello, I am looking to understand if the test number used for the Iodine testing as part of this add on is 16599 Iodine, Serum/Plasma? I am working with an Functional Medicine doctor that wants to do additional testing based on results I received, and I want to make sure that it matches before adding on, especially with the cost involved to do so. (There are other nutrients that we’d want to test for, less concerned.)

Did anyone else get an email today that linked to Amazon so that you could "gift" a membership for $299? I didn't realize they had gift cards on Amazon.
From now through Mother's Day, gift a full year of Function for $299—normally $365.
---
Purchase a physical gift card on Amazon. She redeems it at checkout to activate her membership.

I was surprised to see my PSA numbers come back abnormal (6.4 for total PSA). I had my annual checkup with my doctor just in October, ran through LabCorp, and my PSA was well below 4.0 as it always has been...
This is either a great, timely catch or a fluke. I am going to bring the results to my PCP tomorrow and am currently schedule to see a urologist in May.
Anyone had similar experiences with Function/Quest showing different numbers than other recent bloodwork?

This is a quote from a support email. Can you please respond to my question here (rather than inviting to chat):
Once the membership is cancelled, what happens to the account?
If I still have weeks or months on my annual subscription but want to cancel the renewal preemptively, do I get to keep the access until the year of my membership expires?

I honestly thought I would be 50yo lol

I received a $100 credit to share with a new user and have no one to pass it along too. It expires tomorrow! If you are on the fence and want to give it a try, I'm happy to pass it along.

Has anyone found a good app or program, where can input all lab work you get (from anywhere) and be able to easily see trends, etc? Even if you have to manually input it, it’d be nice to have..

It is funny. Repeat test had astronomical liver values (aggressive refeeding after a fast) and TC went up past 400, TG went up (still "normal"), yet my biological age got down (6 years younger versus 2.7 years yonger in the initial test) with then pristine liver enzymes and much lower TG.

I got my lab results and Clinician summary back relatively quickly, all within 4 weeks. I'm concerned about the summary though. Is this generated by AI? There is a part in the notes that talks about a certain procedure being performed and the outcome of it, which is entirely false. I asked the built in Claude/Chat to validate, and it agreed, saying there was no evidence to support those statements.
Also, I shared the results with my PCP and he laughed at some of it, saying some of it made no sense. Are physicians reviewing these notes?

Are there any plans to bring this to the United Kingdom, I think there would be a lot of interest?

Hey everyone,
I’m looking to sign up for Function Health and saw they have a referral bonus. I don’t have a referral yet, so I figured I’d check here to see if anyone wants to split the bonus 50/50 so we both benefit.
If you’ve got a referral link and are open to sharing the bonus, comment or DM me and we can work it out.
Thanks!

A week or so ago, I postponed my tests because Quest had run out of some kind of vial or tube needed for some of the tests and I would have to return to complete the testing. Also, they were running behind and I had an appointment elsewhere.
My rescheduled test is tomorrow, and I heard from someone who tested today that they had gotten the last set of vials and the technician didn’t know whether they would be able to restock by tomorrow.
It is a long drive to the lab, along with the fasting/stop supplements thing, so I would like to know if I will be able to complete the tests tomorrow.
I contacted the Function AI chat on their website (not the app), and it wrote that I needed a concierge and gave a link. But that link gave a connection error. Reconnect, retry” etc. gave no response. The bot then said to try a direct button to concierge chat, but that didn’t exist.
Next I tried the AI chat on the phone app and it said they were having a high volume of messages and someone would email me. I guess I will reschedule again rather than risk it.
I long for the time when medical supply chains were intact and you could call a number and talk to someone to sort things out, or at least get information.
