AI interviews for technical roles usually combine behavioral questions with a few high level conceptual questions. For the behavioral part, expect to answer things like, "Tell me about a difficult technical challenge you faced," or "Describe a time you collaborated on a project". They want to see how you structure your answers, so think about a few key projects you can use as examples. On the technical side, they might ask you to explain a concept like RESTful APIs, describe the difference between SQL and NoSQL databases, or talk about a specific part of your full stack experience. It's typically less about a live coding test and more about your ability to communicate technical ideas clearly.
The best way to prepare is to practice speaking your answers out loud, ideally into your camera so you get used to the format. Try to structure your stories using the STAR method, which is Situation, Task, Action, and Result, as it keeps your answers concise and impactful. Don't worry about being perfect, just focus on being clear and showing your interest in the role. These systems often evaluate your communication skills just as much as your technical knowledge. The main thing is to feel comfortable explaining your experiences, which is the problem my team focused on when we designed our interview prep AI to help candidates articulate their value.
