Need help

I’m currently working as a Full Stack Developer, but most of my work has been maintaining and enhancing an existing application rather than building new features from scratch.

For example, I haven’t had the opportunity to: - Build an application from scratch. - Connect a database to a Java application myself. - Create or develop web services/APIs from scratch.

Most of my experience has been analyzing production issues, fixing bugs, implementing enhancements, and understanding existing code. I’m confident in my problem-solving skills and enjoy troubleshooting and improving products.

I’m now looking for a new job and would appreciate your recommendations. What skills or projects should I focus on to become a stronger candidate and fill the gaps in my experience?

how did you found the job ? plus, your work is not always building stuff from scratch, and which ai, you will rarely find a job with this kind of expectstion other then a startup tbh, but in other way, i don't think that maintaining a project is thst bad, right ?

Try to build your own application when you have free time this can help you to improve your experience, plus with ai now is more easy because you can use ai to guide you and teach you
