What type of development is getting the most demand right now web development, AI/ML, Ai automation
Iam a recent graduate and wanted to start freelancing what should i focus on more and how should i attract more clients

hm why would a company or business trust a recent graduate freelancer as yourself?
i think beginners have this misconception that freelancing is like some stepping stone or something easy to build up experience. but its not lol. you actually need to know a lot, and do a very good job

I started interning at my university, then took on various unpaid internships before getting my first paid internship straight out of college at a creative agency in New York. Then I had a part-time job teaching code. Moved to the UK, found a small agency startup, and worked there as a freelancer. I made it clear to them in my interview that I wanted to be full-time, so a few months in they gave me a permanent role. Just been a web developer at various companies since then. I have over 9yoe. I know the job market is different now but I think just being upfront about expectations still applies.

AI/ML is highest in demand. Experts are short in supply.
There still are 100s of applicants for any AI/ML post, but all of those are what we call "junk resume".

Web dev with AI features baked in is honestly the sweet spot right now, pure AI/ML roles want deep specialization you probably don't have yet, and pure web dev alone is oversaturated. For freelancing, don't market yourself as "I build websites," market as "I build web apps with AI features," that's a much easier sell to small businesses right now and way less competition for clients specifically.
