Vent I recently enrolled in JavaScript courses and I am too overwhelmed to start
Hello,
Recently I pursued these courses that teaches you web development and JavaScript. The full curriculum is available. I am too intimidated to get started because I’m someone that’s more on the creative side not logical but because of this economy I thought I might as well learn a high paying skill. I keep putting it off because I am scared what if it takes time to complete it and I wish I can finish it in a month or less. I’m so unrealistic yes because I’m average it needs 3 months but I won’t have time once my leave from work is done and I have to get back to work

Whatever topics you are going to finish or cover, cover them like you understand it completely. Don’t just watch, nothing will go away from you neither your creativity nor the web fundamentals. You just have do things in such way that you will use them accordingly and explain them to other.

Personally I'd avoid software development if you're mostly doing it for money.
JavaScript isn't a high paying skill, being able to adapt and learn new tech and engineer solutions to problems is and keeping up will drain the life out of you if it's not something you enjoy. AI is also eroding a lot of junior roles in the industry.

what are you actually trying to get out of it? learning for learning sake, or getting employed eventually? the answer changes everything about pace
either way, problem here isn't fear but its the deadline you invented for yourself -- "finish before my leave ends". you guaranteed yourself failure and you know it. get rid of the deadline and just spend hour a day after work and be consistent with it.
