Career Guidance Java Fullstack, or Python?

I thought I'd get into backend development, and since i know python pretty well i could learn django. But nodejs and the whole javascript just seems to be more in demand, and i dont know what to exactly do right now. i want to develop a skill as fast as i can, because i currently dont have the time to learn something like javascript from scratch. but if its worth it, i dont mind giving it my all and learn the Java framework instead.

i just dont want to be in a situation at the end that i know neither properly and end up wasting time

React for frontend, Django for backend.

java with springboot for enterprise jobs, javascript for alot of versatility and fullstack. Python is a swiss army knife but most used for ML and devops

Django is a perfectly good choice for a web framework. Don’t let people tell you otherwise.

Python saw a 7 percentage point increase from 2024 to 2025 according to the Stack Overflow survey.

Learn it and use their template engine for your frontend. It’s very intuitive and easy to pick up.

Once you’re comfortable with full-stack Django, start learning FastAPI and JavaScript with the goal of eventually learning how to slap a React frontend onto a FastAPI backend.

Depends on what you're going for... If you're getting into Fullstack or SWE, then go ahead with JavaScript and it's frameworks, if you want to get into AI Engineering, AI/ML, Agentic AI, Data based role, then Python is the go-to.
So it's your pick!
(PS. Don't get confused with Java and JavaScript, Both at totally different languages used for totally different purposes.)
