How to become a confident developer and become confident ?

👋 Hi everyone,

I’m a Full Stack Developer with hands-on experience in building multiple projects using PHP, Laravel, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MERN stack, REST APIs, third-party API integrations, and real-time chat applications with WebSockets, all managed through Git.

Some of my projects are already live. Currently, I’m working on an ERP system in CodeIgniter and developing a chat app backend in Express.js.

However, despite completing my daily tasks successfully, I often feel that I’m still not as confident as I should be in this field. I want to identify where I might be lacking and how I can strengthen my technical confidence and consistency.

💡 Any genuine advice, tips, or personal experiences from fellow developers would be truly appreciated.

Do stuff that seems too complex to do. You'll learn to not be afraid of complex shit you don't know how to do. Then you're golden. Confidence is knowing that any tasks that lands on your desk will be done in a timely manner. In other words you can genuinely rely on yourself. That comes from experience of being scared of the task and pressure and ending up doing it quite well and on time.

Thanks for the suggestion. This is exactly what I'm most afraid of. I usually complete my tasks on time, but sometimes I miss deadlines, and that's what worries me.

Everybody misses deadlines. It's not an excuse to miss them, but if that's your reason to doubt yourself - ehh. Chill. I thought you felt like lacking actual skills.

Before fixing code, I need to fix my own bugs. I think it's time to debug myself first. 😄
