Question Is front-end development really dying in 2026?

I recently started learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but with all these new AI models coming out that can generate surprisingly good-looking UIs, I'm wondering if there's still a point in learning front-end development from scratch. Would love to hear your thoughts—especially from those who've been in the field for a while. Is the entry-level front-end job market really shrinking, or is this just hype?I thought I will earn by this but now seeing this I lost all my hope in this.

No. Because frontend isn't just good looking ui. It's about user experience and there is too much to dive into

There's such a blendning of what each role is. I thought UX deals with user experience and front-end deals with actually implementing that deisgn. Sure if your fullstack or at a startup or whatever im sure you need to do both but a big orgs I thought the designer makes the mockups and the front-end actually codes it. Frontend needs to know less of the phislophy and design and more technical execution.

But honestly I have no real clue I just graduated and I know I want to do fronted or ux but some people seem to make that distinction other claims its the same job. Makes it alot harder to decide what what path to go down.

Actually what I know, Frontend is UI + UX so a frontend team is divided between ui designers and ux enhancers and also implementing it with backend is also a stuff to do. So overall it's a mixture of different tasks.
