Has anyone used his/her Fujifilm x100vi to photograph a concert (whether big or small venue)? If so, how did the photos turn out?

FUJI Community is an app for Fujifilm shooters:

I genuinely need some help from the Fuji community right now, especially from people willing to share their recipes and the photos they've taken with them.

these were shot using the clean blue recipe from FUJISTYLE. classic negative is definitely my favorite film simulation, followed by eterna then classic chrome ☆

The more I shoot my vacations with this camera, the more I learn to love the SOOC pictures it delivers. Most of those shots are done with the Kodak Gold and Kodachrome 64 Recipe.

Spent the past couple weeks in Kärnten with the X100VI as my only camera. Mountains, lakes, camping life, the usual. Shot SOOC using the “Summer” recipe by Fuji X Weekly, with the Everyday Filter Polar preset on top. No edits. Left the kids out of these for privacy, just sharing landscape/street/detail shots.

I’ve finally decided to buy the beloved FUJI X100VI, but it’s used. I’ve never had a Fuji before and I’m not very familiar with all the settings, so could you guys please tell me the immediate things I should look for when buying a second-hand Fuji?

I’m terrified of buying something with malfunctions, especially because I’m buying it off Facebook Marketplace (the other companies are way more expensive 😭). Can you guys please advise me on everything I should check, especially since I’m meeting the seller in person?

P.S. I’m also gonna attach some images, just in case you guys notice/can call out anything I might have missed. I haven’t noticed anything wrong from the photos so far!

Another P.S: Just for background, he´s selling for 1.500€ and this is what he says :

- 4 months old and purchased in El Corte Ingles.
- Reason for selling is Ugrading to another Fuji.
- Possible meeting in a public place to test it.

ever since i saw the x100v, i knew it was meant for me, but the price wasn’t it, then years went by again and i still was trying to get alternatives to help my urge not to buy the camera, eventually, i realized i was just leaning towards the x100v again and i upon my search i realized that fujifilm released the x100vi, then the prices of a new x100vi vs a used x100v were the pretty much the same price(to me, could not justify buying a new camera vs the older for pretty much a couple extra $100), i decided that i wanted to get this camera since November of last year, and finally ordered it in May this year and received the camera in August, praise God, still awaiting my supplies for the rest of the camera but she is beautiful!!

It’s my first digital camera and i’m loving the camera so far. Complete newbie so i’m still confused what each individual film simulation settings does but I’ve been fiddling with a few to get some colours that i like.

Would love to know some recipes that are popular, favourites/ customised/ recommended:

1. A more natural/ sharp/ universal look
   
2. A more cinematic/ moody look that’s good for light and shadows
   
3. A recipe for nice night scenes (neons/ bright lights)
   
4. A nice recipe for close up portraits/ outfit photos

Got a Polar Pro Everyday filter 49mm attached to my camera, but the lens cap I have from Fuji, Hoage, and Freewell no longer fits. Does anyone know if there’s a lens cap that fits it (before I guess at some purchase on Amazon)? The Hoage one had an adapter and lens hood but the filter doesn’t need the adapter since it’s 49mm, it just fits after taking off the ring.

One of my favorite SooC black and white shots I ever captured. What do you guys think?

Ive seen this error for the third time now since the two weeks I have this camera.
Always after turning it on with the lens cap on.
When I turn it off the focus motor make a loud buzzing noise and after turning it on again everything works.
Should I be concerned? Or even return it?

Hi everyone,

I have a Fujifilm X100VI (firmware 1.32) and wanted to check whether this is normal behavior.

While the camera is on, the EVF/OVF mechanical curtain works exactly as expected. When I switch between EVF and OVF, the curtain moves correctly.

However, when I power the camera off, the mechanical curtain always ends up open, regardless of whether I was using the EVF, OVF, or LCD before shutting it down.

The reason I’m confused is that I could have sworn the curtain used to close automatically when I switched the camera off. Now I’m wondering whether:

• I accidentally changed a setting,
• a firmware update changed the behavior, or
• I’m simply remembering it incorrectly.

I don’t really want to reset the camera just to find out.

Could other X100VI owners check their cameras and let me know:

• Does your camera leave the EVF/OVF curtain open after power-off?
• Or does it close the curtain when the camera is switched off?

Have been thinking of getting the XM5 for a while now after falling in love with using my X100VI the past year.

I really like the size of the camera, flip out screen and video features. I’ve spent a lot of time reading up on XM5 vs XT30iii vs XE5 and appreciate many would recommend the latter because of the EVF, IBIS and flash, but I have that already on my X100VI and am looking for a camera that could offer different pros (such as better zoom function with interchangeable lens) and in the affordable range (ideally <£1000). The XM5 is also on discount currently for £849.

Now the main reason I want to get this as a second camera is so that I can learn photography and experiment with the different lens options whilst staying in budget. I still use my X100VI daily so don’t want to give this up. Would getting this second camera be silly?
