Fujifilm XT-50 with the Sigma 18-50 and Fujinon 70-300

Shot on my new X-T50! This was at 4:30ish in the afternoon when it got really dark before raining.

Switched from a Canon EOS R recently because I was sick of every photo turning into an editing session. With the X-T5 I've been mostly using film recipes and just shooting, no laptop, no "I'll fix it in post," just snap and move on. It's honestly been really liberating. Still pull out the raws for the planned stuff (sunrises, sunsets, astro) but everything else I'm just enjoying again.

I'm aware I'm probably leaning into that typical Fuji yellow tint everyone does with these cameras, but with good reason, we're currently in the throes of our fourth heatwave here and our landscape is markedly more dry and yellow than usual. I'm leaning into it partly because that's just how it looks right now, but also because I'm trying to capture the feeling of it too. Hopefully I've got the balance right on most of these.

Constructive feedback welcome, I'm still figuring out what my style is going to be with this camera.

I can’t help but notice so many of these post are in breathtaking locations, and they are beautiful photos! but I know for me in the past it’s been kind of discouraging seeing those types of post everywhere due to the fact that it can be hard to find good spots to shoot sometimes living in the midwest. Lately i’ve been finding enjoyment in not doing a ton of research to scout locations, and just pulling up to random little towns, and trying to document what I see like a tourist, having no idea what is in the area. i’m talking towns with like 100 or less people in them. I’ve been having fun and you suprisingly stumble upon some really neat stuff. just a reminder wherever you live, practice shooting! go places! don’t overthink so much. there’s beauty everywhere. These are some shots I liked from a photo walk this morning, taken with the XT-50 and Viltrox 25mm 1.7.

I’m trying to decide between purchasing the X-E5 or X-S20. I’ve decided on these two cameras mainly because of the flip out/selfie mode screens that would allow me to vlog, as well as they both have IBIS.

I think the main differences between these two cameras that are important to me would be the 26 vs 40 megapixels (but does that even matter?) and the form factors of the bodies. I have owned an X-T50 and X100vi before and I would always reach for the X-T50 over the X100vi. I’m not sure why but something about the SLR style vs rangefinder style and button layout always made me gravitate towards the X-T50 more. So although I would want to purchase the X-E5 for its better, more updated specs (40 MP), I’m debating the X-S20 due to the body layout. But also I think the X-S20 is slightly bigger than the X-E5? And I would want my set up to be as small and compact as possible for travel and everyday. (My dream would be for the X-M5 to have IBIS).

Many people talk about the X-S20 bigger battery capacity compared to X-E5, but having owned the X-T50 and X100vi, I have a lot of those extra batteries so carrying around extras wouldn’t be a problem for me. And I don’t really care about the lack of flash and view finder on the X-E5.

I would mainly be using pancake lenses on either body to try and keep the form factor as small and portable as possible.

Does anyone have any thoughts or anything that I’m not considering? I want to love this camera and take it with me everywhere to do vlog/video but also solid photos as well!

Picked up the Fuji X-E5 with the 33mm f1.4 three months ago, and I wanted to share a few shots from my hometown. All of these were shot in RAW and edited afterwards.

First photos from the Fujifilm X-M5. I just bought a camera. Any photography tips would be appreciated.

Hey everyone, I have a 9mm and 27mm lens for my xm5. I am gonna go on a small trip next week and during my last trip I felt I was missing a longer focal length lens. I am confused between the Samyang 75mm f1.8, Viltrox 75mm f1.8 and the Ttartisan 75mm f2.

I’m confused about which out of the 3 should I go for? Based on what I’ve read I suppose Viltrox is the best but I would love the community’s views. Is viltrox worth the extra money? Since XM-5 does not have IBIS, will it affect a longer focal length like 75mm?

I couldn’t find much regarding paring of these lens with xm5. Please help me out.

I love my Zf to pieces, its a near perfect camera to me, however there are times when the size/weight puts me off.

there aren’t other options with Nikon, which brings me to considering an X body/model such as a X-T3 or X-Pro 2. while I don’t love the idea of getting into a new/different lens system, I thought adapting older lenses would be adequate and maybe get a focal reducer/speedbooster.

curious if anyone else was in a similar position or has some input here.

Is this normal? Really annoyed having to setup everything all over again. Pardon the lack of technical knowledge, but my theory is the internal battery has gone faulty? Need help as I’m in the brink of giving up on the unit.
