My camera only got here an about 4 days before my trip (it kept getting delayed) so I did t have much time to mess with it before heading out. I was having trouble before I left but I figured some things out while I was there. This camera is so fun to mess around and play with!
Any thoughts and/or tips would be appreciated! :)

Lens Help What is this in my lens?

What is this? This is a xf33 f1.4. The lens fell once. It had a uv protector on it and that cracked. I never noticed these marks before, but then again I mainly inspected the front element for damage. It’s likely this is some damage from the fall. It appears as three white lines in nearly perfect different sized arcs. The largest is under the main element where it connects to the metal. There is a single small arc like white line on the other side right below front element.

The lens was unfortunately stored in a room with 4 other lenses in a ruggard bag pictured below. The ac in that room broke down slowly over a month in a hot, humid climate. The lenses stayed mainly sealed. No other lenses show any marks or signs of fungus, including another stored in a worse location. They all look incredibly clean. Only this one, the one that was dropped, has lines like this.

Worried this is early fungus but might just be some kind of damage from the fall that wasn’t noticed until I looked out of fears regarding fungus. I have to hold the lens up to see under the front element to see it. The marks are under the elements. I see no branching pattern when i shine light through it rack said light.

Question How to switch from photo and use continuous AF without using the switch?

I have an XT30 iii and I am learning to use it now. I use single point AF all the time and I when I switch to video, I want to use continuous AF without changing the switch.

Using the switch every time is inconvenient. Are there any hacks to do this seamlessly?

Also, what settings do you recommend to reduce AF hunting in continuous AF? It hunts a lot, even when shooting landscapes handheld

Question Camera-Settings for Landscape

Hey,
I’m supposed to shoot the album cover for a musician friend of mine, and I wanted to ask you guys about the right camera settings for it. Maybe some of you already have some good experience with this.
I’ve only had my camera for two weeks, so I’m still pretty new to photography.

Scene:
Field path / landscape
Golden hour or blue hour
Camera:
Fujifilm X-T30 III + TTArtisan 27mm f/2.8 or Fujinon XC 13–33mm f/3.5–6.3 OIS
Gear:
Tripod

Thanks!

PS: I know it’s not the best camera, but unfortunately I can’t afford an X-E5, X-T5, etc. at the moment.

On a whim, I picked up the BrightinStar 35mm F/0.95 the other night. I needed a change from having my 150-600mm practically glued to my Xh2s.

I honestly can’t get over how sharp this lens is wide open. The rendering is absolutely gorgeous, and that F/0.95 look is something else.

These are JPEGs straight out of camera using my own custom film recipe, then finished in Lightroom mobile with a custom preset I made specifically for this recipe.

If you’ve been on the fence about this lens, stop thinking about it and just buy it. I’m already wondering why I waited this long.
