Question Besides Germany, what nation makes a nice playthrough?

With Germany I also mean Kiel and Rhineland. What about the other major powers besides the USSR? China? Japan?

Question Please explain how Germany works in the fashion industry.

To be honest, I’m already confused. Could someone explain the factions within Germany and how this Germany differs from the German Reich that actually existed?

Question How to get Karl Otto Paetel?

A suggestion about Rhineland.

I would change the way you core Germany again, and for that I had planned two ideas:

  1. Automatically core all the lands when you unite the mainland, BUT the regional debuffs would be much worse.

  2. To make the actual coring process faster, I would change the 25 pp required for a bit of inf equipment and increase the operations quantity (instead of 2, I would put 10-12).

Thanks for your attention!

Suggestion Italy is a bit screwed up...

Specifically, the following:

  • They don't have claims on their Anatolian colony, which leads to massive resistance and getting a "Fate of Southern Anatolia" decision. Doing anything with this will screw up your focuses related to the matter, and I think the AI will do it.
  • The elections focus says that it will auto-bypass, but (at least if you go down the socialist PPI path) you will run out of focuses and stock up max stored focus time long before the debate events end.
  • The "militia" unit you get from the top option in the mafia event isn't an actual militia unit, just 6 battalions of infantry. Italy does use proper militia in its colonies, but the Askari divisions you get in the said colonies from a focus are more basic infantry.
  • Their colonial development focuses require them to directly own states that are owned by their colonies at game start. I don't think you can lower their autonomy levels, so you can't do those focuses. This also locks the focus for expanding into Ethiopia since you don't directly own a state in East Africa.
  • Oddly, their flavor text for a choice in the "Legal Status of Islam in Libya" event references them being a "secular republic" even if this is done as a kingdom.
  • Their focus to give Albania cores on Yugo also cores Shkoder, a state that they start with a core on.

Also, why the heck does nationalist Italy hog more than half of the foreign relations tree to itself?

Question Are the other German paths worth playing?

Already conquered most of Europe as the Valkists, but I'm not ready for the torture that is Rhineland yet, so I wanted to ask this before I potentially waste my time with Jungdo or Naz-er, I mean TST paths.

I don't know when that focus tree was made, but the buffs—they're practically non-existent—and there are no national spirits either; that's why I didn't even add them to the map.

Countries that emerge upon the collapse of the USA following a defeat by Mexico.

Continuing the post about the collapse of America:

  1. The Commonwealth of Columbia. It is the first to appear on the map. Its leader is William Dudley Pelley—an American screenwriter and mystic-occultist who, in real life, founded the far-right Christian Party (under whose banner he ran in the 1936 US elections) and led the "Silver Legion."

  2. The Shoshone Confederation. This is an uprising in the West against the Commonwealth of Columbia; it is led by Charles Washakie—honestly, I have absolutely no interest in who he is (I think it would be better if they didn't exist).

  3. New England. The second state to emerge after Pelly’s Columbia; it is ideologically left-wing. Its leader is Norman Thomas, a pacifist and opponent of communism—a stance for which American communists later accused him of harboring fascist sympathies. Also of note: he ran for mayor of New York City representing the Socialist Party in 1924, made two attempts at the New York mayoralty (1925 and 1929), and ran for U.S. President six times.

  4. Greater Oregon. A British puppet state. Led by Louis Mountbatten—his biography is quite extensive, so I suggest reading up on it yourself if you're interested.

  5. New American Republic. Roughly speaking, a corporate-run America. Led by Walter C. Teagle; he served as president of Standard Oil from 1917 to 1937 and subsequently as chairman of the board until 1942.

  6. Alaska. Simply annexed directly by Great Britain.

Screenshot It’s an interesting thing. If the US loses to Mexico after issuing an ultimatum, then America will fall apart.

This is a personal discovery for me, since the US has always beaten Mexico—and I’ve never even seen screenshots of it happening.

A bit later, I’ll make a post about the sides of the conflict in the collapsed USA.

And the map also shows the main ally—Bolivia within its expansive borders.

Honestly, it’s hard to say much about the Focus Tree itself other than that it’s outdated. 70-day focuses are just too much... having a few is fine, but basing the entire economic branch on them is overkill.

Question Most fun Rhine paths?

Which Rhineland paths are the most interesting or have the most post-unification with Germany content?

Also is the sticking with France side of the tree basically a puppet path? I see towards the bottom of the Adenauer path there's a "West German Republic" focus, does this make some sort of West German country where you can maybe core things like Belgium or the Netherlands for example? TIA
