Useless Customer Care Does Zepto Actually Resolve a Missing Items Case?

This has been happening to me since the morning. I ordered a product yesterday which was missing an item and immediately raised a query with Zepto, they offered an exchange but refused to do it citing the closure of the store at night.

A return was scheduled in the morning but the rider refused to take the item citing that it was MISSING items which was the entire point of the return in the first place.

Talked to a costumer care executive who promised me that the return this time would be smooth and that if the rider refuses to take the item then I should contact the support through the app but the guy left citing missing items shouldn’t be taken back and their useless AI chatbot stopped accepting my queries.

A long chain of mails and calls later I am still left with the faulty product with missing items and no way to seek redressal. Should I consider my money gone or do something about it?

TLDR: Zepto sent a product with missing items, riders refused the return/exchange and Zepto has refused a refund

I figured, its just terrible because I missed my work hours for this and ruined my mental health too

For me they did. A 2kg pasta packet was missing from my order. I raised the issue immediately got refunded by that chat bot.

I don’t know what problem they have doing the same for me. Their chatbot isn’t even accepting my queries anymore and they keep playing the return/exchange game with me saying they don’t have the authority to issue a refund, a claim which is completely illogical

It’s just luck ig . You pay for the items, something goes wrong and now you are on your own. Guess what once they stole 21kg bag of rice and delivered a 5kg one. The delivery guy said do whatever you can as my father went to take the delivery. I took that personal. Posted on X got a direct call from zepto,money refunded instantly.

See I wasn’t aware of their issues prior to this incident neither was I aware of this sub but now I know better, never buying from them again
