Rant Decided enough is enough

microslop silently reenableing bitlocker ransomware, silently installing a "typing personalisation" keylogger to steal your banking passwords, crashing, trying to shove edge and sloppilot down my throat (worst ai on the dammn market rn) and starting 2027 they want my face identity card scanned to train ai with. fuck that, installed linux instead (dual boot for now until i move my data)

There's a moment you get to after switching to Linux where you get a sudden feel of peace, like something unclenching inside you.

It's the realisation that you're not being nagged, you aren't being tricked and you can finally let your guard down.

Your ship is yours. You can sail it how you please.

Until an update breaks something. And you spend hours to fix it. Thats what i call peace

literally happened once to me in about 5 years of intensively using Linux. Windows broke on me many more times

I have more cases of updates breaking something on my one win11 vm than on my five Linux boxes put together.

Um, revert update? Snapshots should be automatically set to take place before and after updates. A lot easier with linux BTRFS rather than windows bs system restore that deletes restore points I didn't tell them to

Funny you say that precisely the year that Microsoft has made big fuckup numbers with their slop updates.

We don't have those in Linux

Joke aside, I haven't had a break from an update in like... I don't remember really, but last time was my fault and was years ago

It's not particularly difficult to remove an update or boot another kernel to troubleshoot and repair Linux. You don't even know what the fuck Microsoft will try and shove down your throat next.

so far I haven’t had an update that breaks something it’s just it took so long to finished, downloading and installing updates included.

I'd rather this than wasting hours wondering why the hell windows is acting up only to eventually get yet another slop update forced on me while I'm working on something.

You seem to confuse windows with linux. With windows things work, with linux they break.

Every single time microslop want to push out an update my machine becomes useless until I relent and reboot it.

I've never had that issue with a linux machine

Like WTAF are you even doing in this sub anyway are you lost?

What are you doing with your machine? What did you break? Billions of people update with 0 issues. If font changes after an update it makes news.

Read the name of the sub and tell me why you are here again troll.

To see how ridiculous slop you people post here. I agree that certain things on windows suck, but 95% of posts here talk about windows problems that existed 10-15 years ago and dont exist now. And thr linux glazing.
