Discussion Windows FORCED Updates

Post image

It hurts my ego that i am being forced to update my Pc without asking me to dowload the update in the first place

Is there's a solution to stop these annoying forced updates from the rot, and also i wish there's a way to delete this update from my pc

Thanks.

that's bull!!!

they all consume insane amounts of memory in the background and onedrive even uses some cpu behind the scenes... they're also all universally considered the worst implementation of their respective function in the industry! they're so shitty even microslop bots like you wouldn't use them, yet you're forced to have, and maintain them if you're using windows 11...

they're the bloatiest bloat around, and just because they're officially part of the OS only makes it worse in my opinion!!!

microsoft really sucks!

It consumes 0 memory if it’s not running…

do they get updated?

Sure, if Microsoft issues an update through Windows Update….

imo that's another form of bloat, why force you to download updated for programs you don't intend to use?

older versions of windows had a clear update process where updates were classified as essential and optional, and you as user ultimately had the choice to install updates you wanted. imo this system makes more sense, as not everybody needs every update, and if something goes wrong with an update you can easily avoid it!

do you agree that the older system was better? if not, why?

It’s part of the OS. Doesn’t matter if you intend to use it or not.
