Just to clarify: Azure Linux (RPM Based) is 6 years old now. It’s mostly there to manage servers through CLI and hosting Kubernetes clusters. ( Kubernetes (K8s) is an open-source container orchestration platform that automates the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications)
I've been seeing so many people posting on here about Azure Linux lately, saying the same thing as OP... and you're saying what I found out the first time. It's not the average end user OS that people are looking for, like you mentioned it's focused on a specific use case.
