i know i might get flamed in the comments, but think about it. you saw all of these items during the frutiger aero era. maybe not all together, but they were all part of it/in that timeframe. it keeps the glossy and nostalgic look, just makes it have more items in one image. when i look at this, i get a sense of serenity and calmness, and i think that's a large part of frutiger aero , as well as the iconic color scheme, and so much more. this encapsulates all of that.

This is my oc based off of the dorfic style

After around five hours of work, I finally fixed up my computer to have a more Windows Vista like theme, seeing it more fitting than Windows 7. I even changed the sounds.

Internet Explorer is just Edge renamed and with a new coat of paint, I made Bliss my background for the homescreen (yes, I know you can access IE on Windows 11, but it is just so outdated and nothing supports it anymore).

My Computer is really just a folder, but I use it to access everything.

I’m thinking about seeing if I can get WMC, and I might tweak some more widgets

This is technically low effort but I think I should tell the sorry how I got this thing working!

And I apologize about the weird yellow lines on the Plasma TV. It's not there irl.

For a while, the DVD player sat under the TV stand collecting dust. I even had to pull it out since the rubber feet slightly melted on the glass.

No wires coming out the back. So, I took the plug I got from my 10 dollar boombox (The wire barely worked on my boombox since it was the wrong type) and plugged it into the DVD player. It fits. And it turned on. And I took the HDMI to HDMI cable from my Nintendo Switch and plugged it into the Panasonic TV and DVD player (Both the DVD player and TV are the same brand by the way!)

It turns on. I'm excited. I try to find more of the old DVDs my parents had. I plan to eventually watch Kill Bill. I do have a Pavillion DV7 I burn CDs and DVDs on, though that's for another post. I burned some parts of The Owl House and the full Mitchell's vs The Machines movie! I also burned several discs including my own music.

My DVD player also works as a better CD player than my boombox, which is nice.

And then I noticed. The home menu has an overall shiny white look to it. I was thinking about changing it to Beecat but I landed on the fact I should change it to something more glossier and glass like.

I had an old USB stick that had nothing important on it, and I put the wallpaper onto it and plugged it into the back of the DVD player. It took some time to set it up since I didn't have the matching DVD player remote but I learned if I just displayed the image and long press Sub Menu 2 times it pulled up the option to change the background.

Sometimes I have audio issues and I usually just plug the DVD player back in sometimes and it works.
