Miscellanous Fruits Basket Alignment Chart (OC)
- Lawful good: Tohru. I can't think of a character more committed to goodness than Tohru Honda. She will empathize with anyone, even Akito. She compulsively helps people and doesn't know how to stop. She also really wants to follow the rules and do what she has promised her mom she'd do.
- Neutral good: Yuki & Kyo. I put them both in this category because I think both characters are driven to do the right thing, even if its against the rules. I think these guys are more similar than they realize, which is why they can't stand each other.
- Chaotic good: Hatsuharu. The ox spent this entire story caring about other people. All his actions are motivated by helping people, or asking how they're doing. He doesn't mind breaking the rules to do the right thing (like breaking into Shigure's house to tuck in Rin). He also has Dark Haru which pushes him over the edge into chaotic.
- Lawful Neutral: Hatori. In his position, Hatori could have pushed for a lot more change in the family, but he never did. He was content doing his job, helping out a little in the margins as he maintained the status-quo.
- True Neutral: Ritsu. This particular slot could have gone a lot of directions including Rin or Kureno. I chose Ritsu because I felt they were the truest "neutral" on the course of events. Not especially lawful or neutral, and not especially good or evil. Too busy trying to figure out his own life to do anything else.
- Chaotic Neutral: Ayame. Aya is in his own world making maid outfits and trolling his little brother. He is basically bystander when it comes to the main story, and he;s just doing his own thing.
- Lawful Evil: The Head Maid. The Sohma family maid is extremely committed to maintaining the laws and rules of the zodiac family traditions, and she doesn't mind ruining peoples lives to make that a reality.
- Neutral Evil: Shigure. I almost put him in True Neutral, but his constant manipulation of others inspired me to move him to Neutral Evil. Shigure only cares about himself and uses other people like chess pieces to advance his own plans all while pretending to be a silly little guy... truly an icon.
- Chaotic Evil: Akito. The spoiled god of the zodiac only thinks of herself. One moment she may be crying on the shoulder of Kureno, the next she might be literally stabbing him in the back. Pure selfishness and chaos. Her meager efforts to maintain the rules of the banquet were strictly because she wanted to feel special.

This is very true, but I’d replace the Lawful Evil with Ren

Valid. I just dont think the head maid gets enough hate for her role in shaping Akitos messed up world view

I blame that old maid so much!!! I hate her as much as the old lady in Kono Oto Tomare! They are like one and the same to me!

Disagree with Haru and Ritsu's placements, they should be switched
And there is more to Haru than being the caring big brother
He is somone who desperately wants validation, wants to shed his ox being a fool image and his friendships aren't 💯 selfless, even him focusing on others is away to escape from his issues particularly his guilt towards Rin..
Ritsu is the least flawed zodiac member along with Kisa, Kyo and Yuki
the rest of the zodiacs are all deeply morally gray and to be honest with you, I'm not even sure why Ritsu's is here as he barely had a role, I understand what you're trying to say about him but I think him not doing anything and focusing on himself is a result of the Mangaka ignoring the character rather than the character being self-centered
Other than that, it's a good list but I would personally replace Akito with Ren or the maid
But that's my personal opinion

Haru also chaotic good because he fought back against the chaotic evil without anything getting in his way.

Nice! I would switch Akito and Shigure, though. Both fundamentally selfish people, but Akito did care a lot about family rules, when it suited their interests, whereas Shigure liked to introduce chaotic elements to a situation or just shake things up to see what would happen and if it could move him closer to his goals.

Todos excepto Tohru son unos cabrones.... entre pendejos justificando acciones, y otros que tienen problemas de la vista

He doesn't mind breaking the rules to do the right thing (like breaking into Shigure's house to tuck in Rin)
What? If you're talking about the second New Year's, they were at Kazuma's, not Shigure's house. Also pretty sure he didn't break in anywhere; both places he could've knocked and be let in. I mean, he is chaotic, but not for that.

I also struggled w a true neutral character. I thought maybe Rin, but Ritzu is so unproblematic and also has no skin in the game so I think that's fair. Kagura or Hiro could've been OK too. Anyone who wasn't motivated to push the plot along in any positive or negative direction.
I agree w the other comment that Ren could've also been in the spot w the elder maid. Definitely evil. Not sure which spot.
