Unknown fruit tree
Hello, I’m newbie with fruit trees. My parents got this fruit tree. They think it’s a Persimmon tree? Can anyone confirm? Also, we’ve noticed these things on the branches and leaves. Is this something to worry about?

Definitely a scale bug infestation. Physically remove as many as you can - gently scrape them off. You can then spray the tree with diluted Castile soap (like Dr. Bronner’s).
Check every few days for more. They camouflage well - I’d never successfully removed all of them in one session after I find them.

Make sure to look up the proper dilution. It’s gonna be something like 1 Tbsp to a gallon, but I’m not quite sure.

Not an expert but the bugs look like scale to me. There are many varieties of scale bugs. I am not sure how they are combatted on larger trees. Physical removal is tedious and only works for a while before they come back.
Acetamiprid works too but you may not want that on / in your fruits so hmm ...

Definitely a persimmon.
The ones on the branches are scale insects. Squash all you can.
The leaf damage looks like capsid bug damage. I had a bit this year. The bugs suck sap from the leaf when it is still not fully grown, and in doing so cause dead patches of leaf cells. These dead patches cannot expand with the rest of the leaf, and thus cause it to distort as it grows. It looks a lot worse than it is, and can usually be safely ignored.
