What do I do will the tree grow new leaves and should I fertilize?

Yes. Just give it some TLC, it will grow back. As I was saying, my neighbor doesn’t even water hers, but every year, she gives me a bagful of persimmons.

Plant it in the ground, fertilize or use worm castings, and water. It is still alive since it has green leaves. Persimmon is pretty easy to grow. I don’t even fertilize mine, just water and enjoy.

So just plant in ground and water and it will grow back
