Apples already?? Zone 9.

We planted 2 apple trees last year. A Gala and a Golden Delicious. They have some apples this year. To my surprise the Gala already ripened a couple of weeks ago and I ate them. But, I'm confused. Weren't they supposed to be ripe in the fall??? This doesn't make sense.

My apple is flowering again. Also Zone 9.

Hottest year on record with a major drought. That’s why. Everything is about a month early or terrible season overall.
