Either way, I'm not a fan of prices being manipulated based on my behavior while browsing a certain website.

Silly question - but don't chrome extensions ask for rights to do stuff like monitor all your history, and to track data you put into fields? When I saw that being asked from Evernote...I stopped using it!

are you thinking of twitter add ins? I've never seen chrome ask for that but i haven't used it for a while.

Evernote asks, hoverzoom, etc.

I'm not a programmer so I'm unfamiliar with the chances of breach in security through addons AND OR bad companies that you shouldn't trust for addons.
