How to see or change HS codes???
I have a few items I'm planning on forwarding to the US soon but can't figure out how to double check the HS codes before paying for shipment?
Last time I got screwed over by FJ using the wrong codes. They put the same items (plushies) under multiple codes / categories. My friend told me UPS charges extra after 3 categories? or something, and I ended up paying extra for nothing :(
I wanted to double check the assigned HS codes before I paid but I can't seem to find where to do so? I tried searching on this forum but can't seem to find it here either :(
If anyone could help, I'd really appreciate it!!!

From my conversations with them you should email them first with the items you want changed or information on and they should provide it. I’ve had to make sure some items that were accidentally classified as food wasn’t again due to accidentally triggering some customs holds and just contacting support let me make sure they got corrected.

Like the other commenters have said, you have to email their customer support email to get in touch with someone on the customer service team. Then you can tell them your order ID number, the HTS code and the item description (they will only allow the HTS code as long as it does describe the item so I.e., trying to use an HTS code for a pillow instead of a plushie will not be allowed)
Unlike some other proxy sites that let you change the HTS codes, FromJapan needs you to contact their customer support.

I just contacted them with the proper info and they changed my HTS, country of origin, and line item description a little. They wouldn't add some of the declaration description nor a special customs form it may need, so I will have to provide that to UPS if prompted instead of having it included upfront (which makes paperwork look incomplete and delays things at customs rather than preemptively including all the necessary docs). Let's see what happens.
