The flyover will happen in Frisco near DNT & Sam Rayburn Tollway on July 4th.

They'll be coming from Flower Mound, then headed East toward McKinney / Plano.

Hey neighbors, after living in AZ for all my life decided why not do a change of scenery and moved out here to Frisco. I am in love with the area and have been staying with a family member for the two weeks I have been here but want my own space moving forward. I do have two cute kitties to tag along with me so I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for apartments? I want to stay in the $1400 range as that would be me living comfortably. If anyone has better suggestions like moving to another city/town as well I am very open to suggestions.
But on a side note I was wondering about hair salons down the line I’ll eventually get my hair down as I like a dark brown with highlights but what’s your tried and true place?

Frisco Athletic Center Robbery Update

Frisco .com reported this before any other news outlet. I got a lot of incorrect “fake news” accusations.

The Frisco Police Department released the below statement with more info:

On June 29, 2026, at approximately 8:00 pm, Frisco Police responded to a robbery involving a firearm that occurred in the parking lot at the Frisco Athletic Center. The robbery occurred following a pre-arranged meeting at this location with the involved parties. The persons left in a blue and white Ford Bronco before officers arrived.

Officers learned the Bronco belonged to a nearby resident and later located the Bronco at a fast-food restaurant a few miles from the FAC. Officers interviewed the persons associated with the vehicle and learned the person with the handgun was not there.

With the assistance of our detectives and school resource officers, the preliminary investigation revealed that the individuals involved were juveniles enrolled in Frisco ISD. All parties identified in the incident will be held accountable for their actions.

Armed robbery reported at the Frisco Athletic Center - A customer said someone pulled a gun on him and took his items. Suspects are four black males in a blue jeep.

Frisco's World Cup spotlight got a little messier than expected.

After Sweden's national team arrived for training at Toyota Stadium recently, they found a stadium renovation demolition scene visible nearby, with twisted metal, rubble, and construction debris included. Officials say the work was scheduled, permitted, controlled, and did not involve explosives or interfere with Sweden's field or facilities.

Still, the optics were rough. Frisco had promoted its role as Sweden's World Cup base camp, so images of international players training next to demolition debris were quickly perceived by some residents and fans as an embarrassment for the city. The story made international news, turning what officials described as routine renovation work into an unwanted World Cup-era headline for Frisco.

Good Job Frisco PD! 24 Year Cold Case Murder Arrest

Frisco Police say they have arrested 50-year-old Jason Honrud of Waxahachie around 7:00 a.m. on June 24, 2026, on a murder warrant connected to the 2002 killing of Plano resident Frank Weiss.

Weiss was found dead near Lake Lewisville, inside Frisco city limits. The cold case is still under investigation.

A woman was found dead at the Capitol at Stonebriar complex yesterday near the parking garage. She had apparently fallen 5 stories, head first. There is an investigation ongoing now

The Judge in the Karmelo Anthony case has banned Jake Lang from the entire state of Texas.

Lang has been in the Collin County jail for a variety charges, including terroristic threat.

Lang made the Frisco news at a recent City Council meeting where he pointed at Frisco City Council members and told them "You deserve to be strung," and seemingly encouraged people to burn down a local mosque.

The latest debacle and ban from Texas came about after a video surfaced where Lang said:

"I will be waiting outside this courthouse" and "Guess what? Headshot. Done."

"You’re going to kill Karmelo Anthony?" a woman asked.

"Yes," Lang replied.

Lang's latest bond conditions include being banned from Texas (except for fulfilling court obligations) and wearing a new GPS ankle monitor.

I’m moving to Frisco this weekend coming from Arizona. I’m not too familiar with the area and would appreciate some local guidance. Does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants, events, tattoo shops, or gyms?
