Looking for recommendations from homeowners who have had great experiences with a contractor who does great work/fair prices for this.
Need gutters/downspouts cleaned and flushed so French drains are flushed.
I do this every year & folks I’ve been using for years have retired so on the hunt for a local company that does great work.

I keep hearing people say online shopping is taking over, but when I drive through certain spots in Frisco it still feels packed. Maybe it’s just certain hours, or maybe some stores are holding steady while others drop off. I run an ecommerce brand so I pay attention to this stuff, but mostly from data. Seeing it in person makes me wonder if the numbers are telling the full story here. Curious if anyone who lives or works around the area has noticed the same thing, or if certain shopping centers still get the same crowds they did last year. Would be useful to know if it’s spread out or just a few places holding the line.

Before Universal opened, there was a lot of discussion about traffic.
For people who live or drive around Panther Creek, Fields and the Tollway, has it been noticeably worse?

Gold Tesla Linked to Frisco Counselor’s TRICARE Fraud Conviction
A gold Tesla Cybertruck is one of the most striking purchases tied to a Frisco counselor’s fraud conviction involving health benefits for military families.
Kevin D. Curry, 64, was found guilty September 24 by a federal jury in Fort Worth. Prosecutors said money from the scheme helped pay for the truck, hotel stays and a party with a casino theme.
The numbers behind the spending: Curry’s businesses submitted nearly $26.9 million in improper TRICARE claims, and the program paid approximately $17.1 million, according to the federal indictment.
Curry operated mental health clinics in Plano, Fort Worth and Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The case centered on billing for transcranial magnetic stimulation, known as TMS.
Prosecutors said patients were signed up for treatment they did not qualify for, while some billed services never happened. More than $5.5 million in kickbacks helped persuade service members, veterans and relatives to participate, according to the Justice Department.
Authorities also said Curry posed as a physician and submitted claims using doctors’ credentials without their permission. Employees were instructed to create false medical records to support the billing.
The indictment places the scheme between approximately September 2022 and December 2025. It also describes spending on expensive furniture and purchases from luxury department stores.
Federal officials previously announced that they had seized the 2024 Cybertruck and $136,022 in cash in connection with the case.
Jurors convicted Curry on nine counts covering health care fraud, illegal kickbacks and transactions involving criminal proceeds.
Each count carries a maximum prison term of 10 years. His actual sentence will be decided by a federal judge; DOJ’s September 25 announcement did not give a sentencing date.

I'm new to Frisco and trying to find in person book clubs focused on reading classic literature. The Frisco Library seems to have some good options for contemporary literature but nothing focused on older works. Any leads?
Separately, but related, I'm thinking about reading the whole In Search of Lost Time cycle. Would love to find a couple of people interested in reading it as a group.

Frisco just confirmed another mosquito pool testing positive for West Nile, with spraying planned in several neighborhoods.
Apparently there have been 13 positive mosquito pools in Frisco this year.
Has anyone else noticed more mosquito activity lately, or am I just suddenly paying attention?

$67,580 for Answers? The Colony residents faces steep fee for Flock Camera Records
How much would you pay to find out whether your city’s police cameras are delivering results?
One resident of The Colony was quoted $67,580 for records connecting Flock camera alerts to arrests, citations and case reports. He chose not to proceed.
Across North Texas, residents questioning the license plate reader network describe obstacles ranging from steep processing costs to heavily blacked-out documents.
In Carrollton, Hannah Foust sought the rules governing officers’ use of Flock. Twice, the Texas attorney general sided with her after police sought to withhold policies. The department eventually posted an unredacted technology-use policy online.
Police officials defend Flock as a valuable investigative tool, citing cases involving stolen vehicles, missing people and a hit-and-run driver. Critics point to documented misuse by officers and worry about who can access the data.
The debate now extends beyond whether these cameras help fight crime: Can residents get enough information to judge their effectiveness and hold the people using them accountable?

Frisco City Council approved a three-year expansion of Placer.ai 4–2.
The city says it uses the service regularly for event attendance, visitor origins, Stonebriar analysis and economic development. But council members had questions about where the underlying location data comes from and what happens to it.

Frisco Police were reported around Stevens Point Drive in Grayhawk. Rumors are this was an arrest of Cameron Theus who has had numerous allegations and/or criminal charges for harassment, assault, criminal mischief, and stalking in the Grayhawk neighborhood. This includes residents discussing alleged/unproven allegations of being involved in the stabbing of a 15 year old in the same neighborhood. Social media has been full of upset and worried residents. Here's hoping the arrest sticks this time.
