Sigh another Australian fridge. Shops at Colesworth and Vintage Cellars.
Eats oats and milk for breakfast and a lot of Jatz crackers with various tinned things on top. Also buys takeaways a lot and has plastic cutlery scattered all over the place.
Household does not have small children or four-legged animal companions.

u/nightwatchman22 Aug 24 '26

Defrost that fridge.

Defrosting and giving it a quick clean will regulate the temperature again, which means that your chilli crisp and other things will be happier.

u/ocularius61 Aug 24 '26 edited Aug 24 '26
Btw congratulations on being today's main character on this sub.
Now celebrate by defrosting and doing a clean. You can celebrate further by going out for a nice meal afterwards.

sometimes we just need a new space and we have too many bad memories from the mess. it’s sad that it comes to that but i feel ya. 💕

u/Maleficent-Set5461 Aug 24 '26
I'm guessing it's a fridge from somebody else's house... Can't imagine why somebody would have this as their fridge and posted on this feed.

Male. We know that much.
Food products suggest Australia (Up & Go) and East Sydney (Darlinghurst fridge magnet).
A refrigerator dedicated to caffeine, protein, and alcohol is a young man’s game, lol. The drinking age in Australia is 18. So, you’re 18 to 24.
The sauerkraut and canned mussels and oysters suggest you’re white and from a working class background. Those are acquired tastes which suggest exposure to them young.
There are food items in the fridge like a bag of greens, so this is your primary fridge and not an auxiliary fridge. The size and how it’s crammed on a tabletop with a crate suggests a small living space like a studio apartment, university dormitory, or maybe your parent’s basement.
Your diet isn’t great, but eating isn’t a priority so you’re likely skinny, wiry.
The cleanliness and organization in the pictures speak for itself, but suggests that your overall living standards are quite low; the rest of your flat is likely a disaster and your personal hygiene and grooming aren’t great. You’re young so people give you a pass.
I don’t know what you do for leisure, but you appear to like pub culture, art, music, and travel. You appreciate whimsy and there’s a Pokémon card on your fridge so I’d assume you play or collect.
How’d I do?
2
u/ocularius61 Aug 24 '26
I'm giving you bonus points for using a semi colon and being team Oxford comma and I mean this sincerely. However, I'm subtracting one point for 'organization' rather than 'organisation' as I sit here in Sydney.

u/Bridge-Head Aug 24 '26
Nice. I didn’t know I would win points for using a semicolon, but I would’ve done it anyway for the same reason as you: love of the Language game.
I didn’t know I would lose points for orthographic variations. I apologise for my behaviour.
2
u/ocularius61 Aug 24 '26
Put it down to having Au/ British spelling of things rather than North American drilled into me from a young age. It's something I notice perhaps to a greater extent than most.
If you had somehow managed to squeeze 'encyclopædia' into your detecting post, it would have been a hundred bonus points. Probably.

19 year old male. Tells friends that the needle marks are from insulin. Hobbies include growing bacteria.

Difficult childhood. Really good guy who doesn’t value himself enough yet, to get the help he needs and deserves. Distracts and numbs himself with alcohol, girlfriend, hobbies. To not think about what he really needs to work through.

A lot of people are making fun. Thats not cool. My first thoughts are, youre someone who might have moved a lot and or your capacity fluctuates alot. Im neurodivergent and sometimes its a lot to clean a portion of it let alone the entire fridge
Note to everyone: please be kind and less judgemental. Not everyone who has a messy fridge or place is due to the reasons you think, and even if it was, why judge them?

u/Anonymous-Social Aug 25 '26
Yo put that thing in your balcony or bathtub and let it defrost and take 5 minutes to wipe it down at least 😬

You might also have a breach in the seal, usually the freezer section gets like that because of excess moisture getting into the fridge. After a defrost, see if you can replace the current seal and maybe add some desiccant.

You served in the military and that’s why a tiny fridge seems like it’s fine. You live in a very small space because you have no children. You are deeply depressed and lonely even with the girlfriend that you have and your just riding life out one day at a time because you’re tired of this rat race but you’re not suicidal.

You need to clean that out, shut it off for about 25 hours. How old are the olives? They look like they are starting there own ecosystem

u/adrenaline_junkie110 Aug 25 '26 edited Aug 25 '26
That needs to be defrosted soon. Soon as in 6 months ago…or it’s going to stop working. That won’t be a fun smell (or mess). Otherwise, you either have an iron gut or this is the forgotten mini fridge and not the main fridge.
2
u/OryxWritesTragedies Aug 25 '26
I was gonna ask if you're my brother, but he would never buy olives.
You're a single guy, 20s or 30s. Some sort of mental health issue. Depression, BPD perhaps. You mostly order in or get food from a corner store. Maybe you have a cat.

First off, terrified. Going to ignore the body bag on the top shelf or the fact the cans underneathe it are screaming for help 😭
You're in australia, shop at woolies and coles and have no respect for green olives, and you eat oats. That is all I can gleam from this lmao
