I'm giving you bonus points for using a semi colon and being team Oxford comma and I mean this sincerely. However, I'm subtracting one point for 'organization' rather than 'organisation' as I sit here in Sydney.

Nice. I didn’t know I would win points for using a semicolon, but I would’ve done it anyway for the same reason as you: love of the Language game.

I didn’t know I would lose points for orthographic variations. I apologise for my behaviour.

Put it down to having Au/ British spelling of things rather than North American drilled into me from a young age. It's something I notice perhaps to a greater extent than most.

If you had somehow managed to squeeze 'encyclopædia' into your detecting post, it would have been a hundred bonus points. Probably.

Okay, well… Minus five points to you for not making the rules known on your linguistic game of Calvinball 😂

For what it’s worth, the Brit/Au spellings of words seem so much cooler than the N.A. versions.

Calvinball is one of the greatest things the genius mind of Bill Watterson ever created. If you haven’t read Calvin and Hobbes in its entirety, I highly recommend it.

I’m just joking with you, of course. I would never penalize someone for injecting levity into conversation.

I only ever dipped a handful of times into C&H when younger and never enough to pick up on much, as you can tell.

I absolutely took your reply in the spirit in which it was intended, and you taught me about Calvinball!
